I must honestly confess that I was not a fan of the Russian soprano from the outset. All the fuss has been made about their person and her voice had me zuwieder, because there are much better singers which it is not so easily done because they do not fit into size 36 clothes! For allererstenmal but Netrebko really touched me and I find that the voice has changed a lot over time. The amount is fuller and stronger, coloratura and ornaments are sung and no longer merely hinted. The representations of the individual characters is remarkable compared to "Sempre libera" or the first album under Noseda. Unprecedented beautiful are the duets from Manon by Massenet and the great love scene from Gounogs "Romeo and Juliet". Once again confirmed that the Netrebko reingehört of the vocal genetic predisposition in the French specialist. Very nice is also the Lucia / Edgardo - duet from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. Here it is of course not so grossly overburdened with the amount, as in the mad scene from her album "Sempre libera". Villazon is also great. Only in some places his singing a bit too mannered and high notes are sung with so much pressure that it makes Zawr effect, but the voice definitely not good for you! The orchestra Spilet passionate and sophisticated!
