After Jennifer Rush has presented a successful comeback album this year, it was only a matter of time before even Sony will release a new best-of CD. No sooner said than done-and totally wrong!
This CD is a best-of the years 1983-2010 to be? Looking at the title sequence of that publication, the connoisseur will immediately notice that in addition to two titles of the current CD "Now Is The Hour" (2010) only titles of the first two albums "Jennifer Rush" (1984) and "Movin '" ( 1985) are included. So it is only a best-of the years 1983-85 and of 2010.
There is no title of the album "Heart Over Mind" (1986), "Passion" (1988) and "Wings Of Desire" (1989) - all published by Sony !!
The fact that the albums have been omitted from the EMI / Virgin-time was almost to be expected already. But that does not consider the title of the house Sony albums, remains incomprehensible.
Which was a dilettante because at work here - It's really worse.
So there is the desire for a perfect best-of album. If you really have only one CD in order to provide a best-of from 1983-2010 together, then this CD might look like this:
1. Ring of Ice
2. 25 Lovers
3. The Power of Love
4. Destiny
5. If You're Ever Gonna Lose My Love
6. Ave Maria
7. I Come Undone
8. Heart Over Mind
9. Flames of Paradise
10. You're My One And Only
11. Keep All The Fires Burning Bright
12. Wings of Desire
13. Higher Ground
14. Never Say Never
15. Vision of You
16. Tears In The Rain
17. Credo
18. End Of The Journey
19. Echoes Love
20. Before The Dawn
For this best-of album, however, Sony needs some friendly knock on EMI / Virgin to obtain the licenses for the title 14-18. Would not that be feasible?
