The Endless River (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Now I have read a lot of tons of reviews here and can actually the positive and negative reviews abgewinnen something. A number of negative votes feels a little ridiculed with this album, positive voices widerum can be heard just glad unknown Pink Floyd sound. One can well meet somewhere in the middle because it does not sound anything to Floyd yet. The recordings for "Endless River" are taken from the recording sessions for "Division Bell". The title of the album are the last lines of "Division Bell", so something like the continuation of this album. The only instrumental tracks are available with only one exception, does the whole hardly a crash.

After Roger Waters and Rick Wright died in 1985 exit there are only David Gilmour and Nick Mason, who manage the musical legacy of the band. The writer Polly Samson, Gilmour's wife had the idea that the two of the many snippets process 1993 again for another album. She herself wrote the lyrics for "Louder than Words" - a reminder of the golden days of Pink Floyd. To consider this album but only as a kind of infusion with Pink Floyd ingredients he would have a little bit, because I see it as a kind of homage to the 2008 deceased keyboardist Rick Wright, who has been underestimated by the public and the media probably far, the always remained in the shadow of Roger Waters and David Gilmour and yet has done so much for the sound of Pink Floyd.

The album will certainly not go down as a milestone in the discography of the band, but it is a worthy conclusion of the story for me is Pink Floyd's.
