Highly frustrated with the sound of competing product (the Panasonic SC-HTE80EG-S, see my local review) I turned to nunder around 100 euros more expensive Canton solution - and I'm thrilled! Sonically for Panasonic as different as day and night. Where there an undefined Subbass herumwummerte, you pulled himself through all kinds of sound presets that nothing made ultimately better the Canton provides (namely with a simple but effective 2-band EQ and a single selectable surround mode!) a wonderfully balanced, level fixed sound with good speech intelligibility and with an impressive panorama in the surround channels, not even artificially acts (I'm usually not a fan of such generated by phase shifts effects, but here the developers have really done their homework!). Also via Bluetooth from my iPad leaked music (! Absolutely trouble-free coupling) makes in the surround mode is fun - we sat down on the sofa with his eyes closed and guess the "Speaker Distance" It is also gratifying that the sound remains stable when you leave the ideal listening position - the Canton sounds in the other corner of the room still homogeneous. And that should be mentioned: the clearly structured, clear operating instructions and solidity radiates small remote control. Only two small things stop me to forgive five stars here: The housing surface is right back in operation quite hot (? AC adapter), and the 3 presets (for various installation options) provide me no audible tonal difference. But since the "basic sound" well be true, that's no problem! I would not be here now even the often-described failure of the device after about three weeks overtake, this was a purchasing decision that I will not regret it!
