BUT: The song is - for Grand Prix circumstances - good to very good. It serves both the "classic" Grand Prix songs which were produced until the early eighties into it, at the same time sounds "Rise like a Phoenix" as the theme song of a James Bond film. Can sing Conchita to even, also her stage outfit and her appearance was certainly tasty. It was also good to remember that she believes what she sings, which the text moves into the focus and also a political issue - even if the latter is not necessarily superficial at ESC.
It has deservedly won this year's Eurovision Song Contest - and whether a "real" Star is out of it, remains to be seen. I guess it has better cards than for all the winners of the last decade.
What I saw previously in interviews of Conchita, leaves the impression of a balanced, wise and interesting personality, and I keep my fingers crossed that it is a star and long stays.
