Jarrett is constantly in search of new horizons, new sounds, and for that it is exploring the future and the past. The solo recordings "Sun Bear" are the days of "Köln Concert", and remained much less known. It is nevertheless very great moments where Jarrett again reaches of meditation and beauty heights. Since then he has certainly come a long way, with masterpieces as the moment to "La Scala". The "Sun Bear" concerts are nevertheless an important step in its trajectory, totally fulfilled.
