- The device is incredibly awkward, as you connect the D-Link to a router, you simply do not get assigned IP gateway server and the thing must always first disconnect the router and reboot to access any random IP router of the menus can. All the addresses on the D-Link website, or simply do not work instructions. The Android app can with existing Wi-Fi can not find the access point and therefore not configure. This app has also just great reviews in the Google Store as the product here at Amazon.
- If one views it after several attempts just to the web interface access, you think constantly, the device would have crashed because it responds so incredibly slow. The processor must be from a calculator.
- To complete the overall impression, the DIR-505 even poorer wireless speed than half as expensive cheap Routers or devices without wireless N standard. In the same room there is total rate fluctuations and it does not matter which wireless channel is selected.
It's really amazing how starkly they can mess up a product.
PS: My hardware revision was A2 and firmware 1:06.
