By no later than a certain weight of the camera-lens combination of original neck strap a DSLR is impractical. My standard combination (Canon 6d, battery handle with two batteries and Tamron SP 24-70 / 2.8) weighs 2 kilos good - when using a Teles also much more. The neck strap tugged at the latest after an hour unpleasant neck, and the camera dangling back and forth.
In addition to the JJC ST-1 (attached to the left! Camera strap eyelet) I have attached to the right side of the camera Canon Hand Strap E2 and the tripod socket of the BG a Pellor shoulder strap. For me, this is the ideal total carrying concept: the Pellor I bring the camera close to the body safely through close crowd and have - for example, when scrambling in the mountains - both hands free when needed. The E2 hand strap I use when I'm doing a lot of shots in rapid succession.
The JJC wrist strap is in this concept simply awesome when the camera is carried by hand, not on the shoulder strap:
- To carry through the Wechelmöglichkeit, the camera time with the right hand (hand strap E2) and with his left hand / wrist (JJC ST-1) is the weight in the long run more bearable.
- And then the moments when you need the right hand are there (smartphone use, someone with a handshake welcome etc.). Then just left hand through the loop and the right hand is free.
2. Processing:
What can we expect - for not even 8? My expectations were far exceeded. The loop is solid. The neoprene makes a high impression. The seams are performed cleanly and make a trustworthy impression, the latter also applies to the two rivets in the transition to hemoclip closure.
As for the hemoclip closure for coupling and remove the camera from the wrist strap, I was initially very skeptical! Keeps the long run? I have therefore tested weighing approximately 3kg, while the weight of the arm and into the air ripped (the loop is thereby loaded with significantly more than 3kg). Result: All good. Trust since the JJC ST-1 my standard combination of carefree.
3. haptic / Handling:
The comfort is very good. The neoprene is very well located on the wrist and wears comfortable (since I know other examples). The sliding eyelet strengthened his grip.
The hemoclip closure is just awesome. The situations where you want to have both hands free and must have free, or where another person, the camera (one should even sometimes on image), are manifold. Then just open "click" the hemoclip and you're "free"!
To summarize:
- The JJC ST-1 wrist strap I just awesome!
- High well made!
- Feel and comfort super!
- The practical value especially because of hemoclip closure enormous!
- And all at a great price-performance ratio!
I hope this review is helpful to you. About comments I am happy!

ATTENTION! REVIEWS describe two DIFFERENT ITEMS !!
Have wondered for some time about the fact that some reviews here do not match the items purchased from me a "wrist-lanyard". It is described from time to time as too large ("leg lanyard") and is orange.
The solution is: These are two different items of JJC, their respective customer reviews are brought Amazon messed up. Whatever will be evaluated by the two articles, it appears all reviews on both product pages. There are currently 152 reviews for both "JJC Floating Strap / Floating hand strap / arm loop" as well as for me-reviewed here "JJC ST-1 neoprene wrist lanyard available.
So:
- To all potential customers who want to find out about the reviews before buying:
Watching and not confuse leave reading - when ordering certainly (what I want: a floating arm sling for use in water or a pure wrist strap?)
- An Amazon: The current mess is misleading for customers and may lead to a wrong purchase decision!
Moreover, this confusion is also the effort of the reviewers do not do justice!
So Amazon, there is an urgent need for action. Please assign the reviews Product sharp !!
