just not enough light for macro photography

When Polaroid LED ring flash my interest was aroused by the description of the device functions and the extensive accessories supplied with very low price. When I've even considered the existing customer opinions and, furthermore, was an indication that this device would thereby identical and even cheaper, I have ordered me immediately. In one review I found though the statement that the ring flash too little power for shooting outdoors would, but would be great for indoor - but as I already wanted to use it only for macro shooting indoors the device that was not a purchase barrier for me. However, first test shots brought the sobering: Despite a shooting distance of about 10 centimeters to the object made it at maximum power only aperture 8 at ISO 400. comparison shots with the built-in camera flash there were much better: The 50'er macro I could without problems to Aperture 32 dim at ISO 100 and received at the same time significantly more depth of field with better color fidelity.

Conclusion: Reasonable working aperture can be in flash mode just by increasing the ISO-number reach (1600-3200).
If you have no problem with mixing light, one could increase the exposure time in the steady light mode
and make do with a tripod - but why does the member really still ??

Anyway, I have the ring light again carefully packed and sent back.
For my purposes, should be the first choice rather the ring flash from Sigma.
