So do the math, for use in France am I doing for 200 to life.
Whereas previously TomTom GO630 299 + 49 + 39.9 = 744 for 5 years (and I'm nice as rates have fallen since 2008)
The day I am going abroad and I want traffic simply connect a TMC receiver TOMTOM Micro USB not available in France but the TomTom German boutique.
Regarding the pixelated screen personally it does not shock me, and I do not mind it at no nose 20cm and eyes glued to the screen all the way.
- The address search and POI is super intuitive, the "pinch to zoom" is great need to go into 36 menus and sub menus to display and zoom the map.
- Browsing to a known location or a creek along the coast by touching the map (tap & go)
The least
- Impossible to add custom POIs for now but from the support TomTom it will be soon
- Impossible to enter and navigate to a Latitude Longitude +
- No TMC receiver to avoid data roaming abroad (roaming).
In short it is not perfect but i hope but it will get better with updates to navcore and maps.
In all cases I recommend this unit to family and non-professional use that allows to enjoy the TomTom HD traffic on the road vacation.
