- Picture:
Good panel, rich black, good color with low power consumption. (On the other hand, the picture is not much better than my old LG 37LH3010).
The image is especially good with appropriate HD material. Since you want to sit down nearly 1m in front of the TV to see well every detail. I could also see Clouding or other effects. For SD material (576i, and there are quite a lot on TV) it looks different: Once the artwork is bad, the screen looks washed out, blurred and pixelated.
Tip: This improves considerably when you turn off the Entrauschungsfunktionen, these afford the television in such material a disservice.
- Menus / Steering:
Here I draw a comparison with my times Sat Reveiver. First, the functionality in different menus is divided with overlapping functionalities. Discover, or the contents of Home organized differently. For some users this can be confusing for young people, it should not be a problem.
In addition, some menus are context sensitive. So you can set the options for image playback during BlueRay BlueRay / DVD playback and for television during the television program. (A normal user wants to actually getting a good picture with true to the image and color reproduction, no football image, TV image and a video image but one for all).
The menu operation is generally slow and lacks some features the details. In the end, for example, the station sorting on my satellite receiver by a small detail more efficiently and faster.
Export channel list to USB stick and edit on your PC: Tip. This works much faster and easier and you can also delete encrypted channels easily. Enfach googling for Sony editor.
I now have the TV a little longer in operation: On occasion, the TV remains "hanging" and responds simply times no longer for half a minute or longer to user input. Something should / must with a TV in this price range not supposed to happen! The basic functionality must be implemented well in my opinion.
- Control:
Attempts have been made to squeeze for each function a new button on the remote control. The result is a control with 52 buttons. That would have to go innovative, a cell phone for example, always came out with less than 20 keys. It may be that you can buy added better control, but appropriate control systems should already mitliefern. The B version is given no compact controller.
- Sound:
The sound is ok and no major weaknesses, as far as I can tell that as no audiophile. Sony, however, a subwoofer for 300 is highly recommended as an encore. I think if one should be there, it should be installed if you need him, I can not say.
- Smart TV:
Unfortunately is not set for Smart TVs on a standard platform like Android. Instead, set to own solutions, thus, many apps (eg Media Player) immature, slow and / or uninteresting. Smart TV is really no reason to buy.
