After the simple system of a kitchen timer - what can I say, it is a kitchen timer - this is built tripod head. You screw it on the tripod, the camera at the alarm clock, represents the time, and let's go. After 1 minute, the camera turns on the alarm clock by 6 degrees, in 60 minutes at 360 degrees. So far so good. The ticking of the alarm clock can be heard on any video and at the end he will ring, as befits a kitchen timer. But that does not matter because the tone you will probably want to hardly make use in the recording. Of course you can make with the corresponding camera and an image series. The alarm clock works as it should and is not it wonderful useless. Why or when you need a 360 ° uptake, which includes 60 minutes? Or even a 180 ° uptake in 30 min., 90 ° C in a quarter of an hour (which I find feasible nor the most sense or easiest). Of course, you could then gather the strong per-editing program, but faster rotation would make things a lot easier, and finally you have to stay so stand by and watch camera and tripod. For stargazers, there maybe would be an opportunity, if the camera moves with the stars. The alarm clock works but only if it is in the horizontal. If you tilt the tripod, it ceases to tick and turn around. So you could just shoot the horizon. Would make more sense of this tripod head to be able to set different speeds, faster, slower, and if he would still work slightly tilted. So I can only say: I do not think I will use it often, except maybe in the kitchen (but missing the steps between the quarters of an hour). Nevertheless, he is well made, looks great on the tripod and is doing what he should. I personally have no use for it, but unlike a real kitchen timer keeps the tripod head from 800 grams - so if you want to use it for a long time exposure can do so safely. There are still 3 stars, the description finally promises otherwise.
