And do not miss the classics! On Changeling bluesy and leading to perfection to jazzy psychedelic and inhabited Riders on the Storm, The End descendant of unofficial to some, the reasons to get excited about the directory, and thus to despair of its final nature, are as numerous as the number of tracks. Admittedly, the Doors, separated from their historical producer Paul A. Rothchild, were smitten by a newfound freedom and indulge just play what makes them want recklessness little (or no) commercial impact this will have. Also specify that records live in the studio, with the exception of a few keyboards overdubs, the album offers unvarnished, in the simplest musical instrument ... and what it's good!
That said, the salt of this edition 40th anniversary, whether it is for the original album remastered nicely here (from the mix of 1971), also takes in the many outtakes and rarities Cd, unpublished material to of those who always want more and who, for once, largely have something to celebrate. In this case, if the versions are not dramatically different from those that will end on the album, they enable to hear the Doors test other configurations, ideas that will ultimately not chosen and which apply equally to their value musical and historical allowing the listener to understand the creative process of a group unusual and appreciate as it should be their last sessions.
In short, highly recommended to those who have yet had the advantage of asking them ear, LA Woman 40th Anniversary Edition, will also attract those who used force to listen too. An essential album to anyone who likes rock.
