I had bought and used a rather expensive (about 35 EUR) LED replacement of halogen Paulmann for my rod uplight at the hardware store. This exchange has worked out perfectly - light intensity was indeed weaker than the halogen bulb, but adequate and dim the lamp can be also. For my 2nd identical uplight I have now bought this lamps here at Amazon, because it's much cheaper and the reviews, too are quite good - unfortunately worked the favorable Pixnor lamps not at my uplight - flickered and was dim not really , Had to send it back the same. Too bad. Another note: I have checked with a power consumption meter both lamps: my dimmer is a "real" Dimmer = if I dimme, I consume actually fewer watts. Maybe this LED from Pixnor is therefore not compatible.
