In scope, I get along well with the gray block MFC-7440N, although of course different is "beautiful." If necessary, you can also consider Omas crochet; o)
Printouts and especially the speed have inspired me. Since I'm used to from the old device some unreasonable conditions. Now almost a year in operation, the MFC-7440N is also the catchment no fatigue, which was always quite fast problematic in my previous inkjets. Practically, the paper cassette. So not every tedious loading. In practice, the additional feed is forward. Here you can quickly print Adressettiketten times without having to remove the paper.
When it comes to toner performance I'm a bit skeptical. The supplied toner was empty aside counter 1300 - though there was a majority of these prints from A4 printing with only a single line! That was disappointing. But well, the first filling stop, will certainly also saved when ... Anyway, one should not forget to order a one "correct" filling, not that you sit on dry land ...
The menu - Fax / Scanner / Copier - I feel as sufficient. Unfortunately it is a bit annoying when the printer one end of the toner life for quite a while telling you that you should procure new toner. The Note is nice, but I have learned that in this way often other features that you enter the same on the unit are blocked. How exactly related, has not yet opened up to me. However, I expect from a device that it is quite normal further use - such information has therefore to disappear when you press the function buttons and the unit normally do his service. That does not make it with me.
Generally, the keys are programmed at times uncomfortable. It is not always possible to stop a procedure intuitive or then but just now to jump while entering scan Copy. The Tipperei on the buttons is quite cumbersome for my taste.
My big minus is the scanner. As I said, I scan every now and then photographs. This can be forgotten with the device. The images appear totally crippled on the screen and are simply unusable. My 10 years old Canon inkjets has pictures scanned properly. The MFC-7440N is simply no use for it!
Scans, which are not so whatever the quality - I scanned a few copies for my studies - creates the MFC-7440N. There would have been nice if you could scan straight to PDF format ...
OCR does not work very reliably. If I einscanne texts with this function, the template must be absolutely pure flowers, otherwise you have a lot to do with the correct, so I am personally typing even faster ...
For Fax I can give no statement because I do not need it. So my rating here is for light and shade = 3 stars. With printing, I am still very satisfied. The bad scanner has not bothered me at first, but now I think it would longingly at my age ... Canon
