I am writing my first review, and the lens for Canon EF-S 18-135, because in my opinion simply necessary. I photograph for a year with the Canon EOS 7D as an ambitious amateur. Initially had the CANON EF 28-135 plan and have approximately 4,000 pictures taken mostly on trips and in nature. With the hit rate of really good brilliant photos I was not completely agree with this combination. The rejection rate in the focus and exemption as well as the exposure distribution was too high for me to me easy. That had to be better. I then bought a Canon EF 24-105 L, because I believed that it could go wrong in this price range and L-lens anything (especially since I already own a Canon EF 70-200 L USM and am thrilled by this completely). This was certainly a big mistake. Either I had a Monday-lens, or combination with the Canon 7D really will not work properly in mittlerern and telephoto focus very well, in Weitwinkel.-and short-range simply unsatisfactory. Probably EF lenses are not geieignet with crop factor 1.6 in each case for APS-C cameras. A friend and dealer advised me then the Canon EF-S 18-135 IS. I shoot for 3 weeks now and love my Canon 7D again. Photos are both in the near and in the telephoto range sharp and brilliant, the exposure distribution is 1A and the hit rate is almost at 100%. The lens is lightweight and portable, focuses very fast and has no red ring! The bokeh in the depth of field is the way great class and are keen on making conscious cropping. From me 5 stars.
