In this case, I can - say - for my impression:
All this, both positive and negative.
The 5.1-SACD mix starts - at least for my taste - with a completely distorted version of New Life. I've now done to me over and over again, without entering relief. The piece is, like most overweight on the "A-side" of the album, with inappropriate and playful ping-pong effects. Only Außnahme's Puppets. That's ok - but not necessarily brilliant, considering the possibilities.
Then - actually I'm disappointed - probably the most refined Snythpop track 80s: Photographic.
Namely, in an incredibly exciting, perfect theatrical version, really you should write: "Director's Cut". Goose Bumps.
Who found the original awesome or even place, and a good surround system has: A tick-side, buy SACD!
The 5.1 version of the album seems to me at the beginning (A-side) as a Erstlingsüberung, then (B-side) as a masterpiece. The quality of Sourroundmixes remains very high for the rest of the album: Tora Tora Tora !, Big Muff, and especially JCGE are definitely more impressive than the stereo version, JCGE has much more drive!. Very good, in my view, the strict separation of vocal parts (lead forward, backing rear), the sophistication of the vocal recordings came in the original never sooo much out.
To put it figuratively to say: On the A-side there, as hung the individual layers of the compositions on different walls, there will be no more image appears.
The songs from Photographic new, the "old" Stereo Although very similar, but it is much more plastic image. So I would have liked also the first part of the album.
And what was now the "old feeling"?
With the SACD stereo version I did that happen, what many have high-ender claims on vinyl and SACD The SACD "feels" - with me - like vinyl.
I could not tell you what makes the difference, but this stereo version has me clearly reminded of what I thought or felt with 15 while listening to this album, the CD never.
Maybe I should yet again get a decent vinyl Dreher ....
