My application profile and my personal assessment is as follows:
1 home theater system is connected via HDMI to a TV (Samsung LED TV) to DVD / Blu-Ray to see:
=> Works great, the TV recognizes the LG without problems. You can set even if the LG starts automatically when you turn on the TV. The LG relatively quickly ready for use and the disc will be quickly read (especially compared to my broken Harman Kardon are the worlds). The transferred image is of good quality (at least I have the impression that it is better than my old system). The LG is very quiet, you can hear that disturb no annoying fan or other unpleasant operating noise the cozy movie night.
2. Listening to the radio via vTuner:
=> I am very happy because this is a really great feature. To activate or set the station but you have to turn on the TV. Is selected via the function in the "LG App menu". When you're finished, you can turn off the TV again. Had hoped that you can use this feature from the "LG AV Remote" app (with Android smartphone), but unfortunately does not go.
3. Listen to Music on CD:
=> Works just like you'd expect it.
4. Play music (mp3) via network hard drive:
The LG home theater system recognize my network Hard disk without problem, the mp3s stored on it will be played without any problems. With the LG AV Remote "app (with Android smartphone) you can also access the network hard drive. So you do not turn on the TV to select the desired file.
5. photos (.jpg) and video (.mov) Play over network hard drive:
Review as at 4 * + * .jpg files .mov can be played.
6. We live in a row house and have 2 (even smaller) children. This means that the investment view is turned up neither to listen to music even DVD / Blu-ray:
=> Under normal and even at elevated volume sounds the LG home theater system really OK (music and film). You can select different sound modes and also configure a personal equalizer. In addition, you can adjust the distance of the seat position to the speakers and the volume of each speaker individually. Sure, the boxes / Subwoofer are plastic and not to vergleichen.Trotzdem with real quality "ensembles" I am satisfied because they serve their purpose for my application.
Why only 4 instead of 5 stars? What bothers me a bit is that you can not connect directly to the system, the rear speakers. You have to control them via the radio module. Since I have laid cable ducts under the floor I do not need this function. Since it is not without it is the radio receiver just behind the couch ..... right at the pit.
In summary, one can say that the LG a buy recommendation for all is the not the super enjoyment and listeners are crystal clear even at extreme volume sound expected. Price / performance was right here, you get a pretty all inclusive package which easily build and operate.
