Customer Review

The device was used to quickly supplied from Amazon but unfortunately without repackaging. The delivery note pasted directly on the original box - ie as a gift then to use less. Not great, but is recorded in a footnote shipping in original packaging at Amazon so. Also specified in the product description from Amazon as a manual delivery which turned out to be ultimately as Faltplatt with a few more or less cryptic drawings.
For LG Blu-ray player itself.
The device is visual and tactile well dressed.
The remote is functional, tidy and has supplied with only a battery, a sufficient range similar to my other remotes available with two batteries.
The front panel has a few control options and a very small screen. In principle only when the TV / slave monitor or as in my case Beamer is the control, in particular the additional functions, sense possible. Also available on the App can be limited with regard to multimedia functionality reached when no shield is connected.
The network connection via LAN / Ethernet / Powerline was very quick to set up and worked flawlessly. I first tested with dynamic network address, and then set a static. Then once without cable with WLAN also ok. Pictures and music are ok. YouTube needs to recharge even when LAN. Is probably probably at my abysmal 1000 DSL Internet connection.
System and Setup settings were also carried out quickly and easily.
Although SmartShare shows Fritz! Media Server (as an example) and also plays content, but crashes when clicking on the (apparent) softkey Fritz! Media Server comprehensible / repeatable from. Here helps only draw power plug.
Basically, the device is very sensitive when scrolling / searching the web. When scrolling through the list of favorite cities pull crash eg AccuWether power plug. The crashes / freezing of the device come as I see it, heaped in front of functions, the z. B. wg. Unavailability had hidden or grayed out his need. Here, but not a complete reset on the power supply may be necessary if you inadvertently but once clicked.
Sometimes also helps save Unplug the drawer button out / in.
Sign in LG SmartWorld complicated and not necessarily very logical. The exact procedure must be palpated. It also appears in the necessary application on the Internet the grimace of a data leeches. What is missing is clothing size underwear.
Reproductions of Blu-ray, DVD, CD, USB and network folded, if you know the crash traps and handles perfectly. Internet Radio via vTuner is also easily possible. Likewise, such as access to pictures in Picasa on Sharpeye App.
Picture and sound quality are impeccable. Drive noise barely audible. OK with me makes the projector the crash.
Also interesting is the display of information from Gracenote Media Database. Here you can see additional information of the songs that are being played. Not very extensive but ok.
Photo Viewer / Slide functioned smoothly.
My Highlite is the Miracast function. Tested with Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The device creates what my Samsung AllShare Cast Dongle (now probably sold as Samsung EAD T10E Link Cast Dongle) never had managed correctly: Mirroring a Samsung Note 2 on AV receivers and projectors on the canvas. Finally!
The LG AV Remote app must first download additional software from the Play Store, then to run correctly. The who can understand. The enclosed NFC tag automatically starts this software if you drive over it with the mobile phone and NFC is switched on. Nice gimmick. Also funny is the private sound mode. This makes it possible to redirect the sound of the instruments on the phone. Perhaps here to connect a pair of headphones? Well is just there.
Summary: At first I was afraid to send the device annoyed and short due to the permanent crashes. But when I realized the reproducibility and thus could exclude these operating errors, I started with this device befriend (Miracast). The biggest problem of the BD player is the poor quality of the software. Should probably be made by the customer. Too bad, but of course that is a no-go. Otherwise, the built-in functions / ideas are to use well, but just partially implemented weakly. Crashes when you click on the wrong thing, must not occur. Whether LG phones have the same problem?
More like 3 stars are not there.
The provided software update over the network way, I have carried out, however, without any visible improvement.
