What I like:
-------------------
- Operating system Windows Phone:
When I have a new notebook purchased me last year, this was just to get with Windows 8.1. Within a short time I have then the settings made so that it both visually, as well as from the operation as close as possible comes to Windows 7. Metro UI with the tiles on the PC and predominant use of mouse and keyboard was just a no-go for me. What was I but even then thought: For devices with touch input (smartphone and tablet), the story is quite different, however.
The user interface can be very free and configure it according to my wishes. It can be the apps, contacts, etc. put in three different sizes and size free to own preference. Visually, you come here to its cost and can choose between different color themes or set a background shining through the transparent tiles. The highlights are the Live Tiles, which always come up on the front page with the latest information without having it would launch the corresponding app (eg. As weather, news, photo album). The system runs smoothly and apps load quickly.
- Data exchange:
A very important point for me is the ability to connect the phone to the PC and no additional software to exchange data. This works really simply and easily using Windows Explorer. Pictures, songs and documents can be moved easily as a USB flash drive, copied to delete pder.
- The Camera:
The camera (app) can also start button directly on a 2-level hardware. After pressing this, the app will start in 1-2 seconds and you can start immediately. Pressing the first stage, the automatic switches the best settings, one pulls through, the picture is taken. The Denim update thereby the starting time of the app and save the images have extremely shortened. One uses the trigger rather via Screen, can be on the button, a video recording start (in 4K).
- The Apps:
Everything (for me) Important is virtually free already included from the house. The Internet Explorer is a solid browser that is HERE software a comprehensive package of navigation software and maps, which also work offline. Calendar, alarm clock, contacts, weather, an entire office and WhatsApp are also included. Various other apps there then in the store. Here they have to then not even be charged. Those interested can take a look around the store so happy.
- Hardware:
A beautiful opportunity offered by the Lumia, the inductive (wireless) charging. Of course you can put his cell phone in a station or simply connect via cable. But I have decided to use the new version and it also fond quickly. I use the smart phone is not just, I make it easy on my "Fatboy" pillow and so it remains permanently loaded well.
What I do not like:
--------------------------
- Operating system Windows Phone:
With astonishment I discovered that it is not possible without further ado "stop" a song about. Pausing not an issue but really do not stop going. The song then remains virtually as current titles and will also appear on the lock screen as the current title. Merely by (free) app can be worked around.
Another point is that I can not create a folder for Internet Explorer favorites on your smartphone. I love a clear structure and would therefore also my bookmarks / favorites can accordingly be divided into ranges. That this works only in a roundabout way for me incomprehensible.
- The Apps:
This point I can not really blame the Lumia per se or the system Windows Phone because it was known to me before: Compared to other systems, the number of available apps in the store is considerably smaller than that of competitors Android and iOS. Unfortunately WP is then also treated somewhat neglected due to the small market share by manufacturer. As an example, the quiz duel app that only much later came for the WP and just as the corresponding app for the show "Quiz duel in the First" that have yet will be provided later. I'm curious. Even the Roccat Power Grid I have looked at times like, but unfortunately (yet?) Available for WP.
However, only the number of apps speaks not automatically qualify for a high quality ...
- Hardware:
For more complex processing power (eg. As graphically complex games) tends to the Lumia to be very warm. This is probably the iPhone 5 no different.
Conclusion:
-------
Overall I am really convinced of the Lumia 930 and very satisfied with the device. The Windows Phone a not so great app market as competitors should each be known. The apps that I really need, but are available in good quality and free for the most part. The hardware-based equipment is fully comparable with other flagship smartphones. Who in detail what points has the edge here, everyone can decide for themselves. The simple connectivity to Windows convinced me also.
