Preliminary said both have their strengths, but also some (small) weaknesses. The Sony headphones have a very stable due to its aluminum case and see very valuable out. The cable is tangle, that is, it consists of a slightly different material than the cable commonly used. It is a little tighter than the usual cable (eg cable and Sennheiser) and acts like a woolen thread loops. This gives hope for a longer life span, although the cable inlet on the earplug which indeed usually is the weak point when it comes to the cable break, looks no different than other headphones. I'll update here, how long it keeps ...
A nice gadget is a small cable winder, which allows you to wrap the cord to a comfortable length. The essays of the earplugs are available in 4 sizes and I am glad that this S size fits very well with me, as I often have problems with the fit and so then ultimately have very small ear canals with the well-screened listening pleasure.
The Sennheiser headphones I had the equalizer of my iPhone 5 found the optimum setting for my late night music (jazz, rock, metal, classical) and again this setting is just right. The earbuds block very well and I am very satisfied with the sound. The heights come clear and not be too sharp and the bass are reasonable to hear, but still have a little room for improvement upward, but I think for this price range you have here a good well-rounded sound experience. At the sound of Sennheiser and Sony take my opinion nothing.
The only complaint with the Sony headphones is the remote control. At Sennheiser you can also adjust the volume in addition to the microphone, but here can only make the music on pause while you make a call. Because I often hear on the train or while shopping music, it is very convenient if you can adjust the volume quickly and easily, without having to do directly on the mobile phone, which is usually closed in the pocket.
Used as a headset, it is only a bit strange, because it suppresses your voice so that you will be quite uncertain how loud you actually speak and how to modulate the voice. The interlocutor's voice comes clearly and without distracting background noise. Since I use the headphones but mostly just listen to the music, hardly bothers me.
My conclusion: The Sony in-ear headphones with good shielding points of earplugs, a verhederrungsfreien cable that can be individually adjusted in length and a beautiful and rounded sound. Not so much has given me the remote control that does not allow for volume control and suppresses the sound of it's own voice.
