Picture and sound are very good for HD and HD + channels and good for SD channels.
The unit is easy to operate and the switching times are acceptable.
Remote control is ok and can be programmed to TV or hi-fi system.
Motor control with DiSEqC 1.2 or USAL also works well. Fortunately, I had experience with Clarke Tech 2500 plus.
An external 3.5 hard drive is detected by the receiver. The hard disk must be formatted on the receiver (Format Ext3). The recordings are very good and playback functions with limitation of HD + channels. There is no coil in HD + recordings possible.
I have configured Internet settings with LAN cable. HUMAX also recommends to establish network connections over a direct network connection. For Humax portal is a fast DSL connection required (min DSL6000). The device has many media content, max cathedral entrance, You-Tube and Internet Radio only works with DSL faster than 6000th
TV Program Guide (Guide) is great and the programming of recordings is easy.
Bad on the unit is the manual sorting and delete channels.
There is the possibility to create a preferred list 1-99. From 1800 a processing channel space is also possible.
But the channels 100-1799 can not be deleted! Sorting is also poor compared with Clarke Tech. With a lot of patience and anger I have a compromise.
Conclusion
Humax HD Fox + is a good device with many sustainable features.
The enjoyment of the latest technology should be user-friendly.
The processing of channels can be much better.
