Positives:

The coffee maker is a water filter, but I personally think nothing of it. Except that the Delonghi water filter cost huge money, they have no use in my eyes. The coffee tastes with water filter is not better, and the machine is protected even without water filter adequately before lime deposits. Especially small calcium deposits are even good for the machine, as they protect the hoses and gaskets. On the water filter you can go without in my eyes.
The time interval between descaling of the machine depends on the water hardness. According to the Delonghi gauges should I adjust water hardness 4 of 4, in my home is also generally a very hard water. With water hardness 4 the machine is about 1 time decalcified month. Personally, I have had the experience, descale that 1 time per month is too much and absolutely unnecessary. Use the machine for 2 years on water hardness 3 of 4, characterized the coffee will be approximately every 3 months decalcified (depends I think also of the quantity of coffee from the one down leaves). Every 3 months Descale I find a good and especially meaningful value! I notice no difference whether the machine is descaled in 3 months 1 time per month or 1 time, except that it saves money.
When descaling, I use the original Delonghi descaling agent, who wants to save money here which I can only recommend to buy the Delonghi descaling agent in the package (5-6 bottles) on the bay. One bottle is enough for 4 descaling Entkalkungsvorgänge, in my case, one bottle a year. Priced at 8-10 per bottle really a bargain. And as I said, I feel Delonghi water filter as absolutely unnecessary and a waste of money. So in short, the maintenance costs of my Delonghi amount to about 10 per year.
Problems made the coffee over the last 2.5 years rarely, 2 errors I had a total of:
- Once I had coffee powder in the water suction. This error, however, was self-inflicted. If one pushes the water tank in the slide, is located right at the back so the link between the water tank and coffee. So just the water can be sucked from the water tank. Here small quantities of coffee powder has accumulated (eg the flew away when removing the brewing unit) in the last 2.5 years over and over again. Man pushes then beautiful the water tank in the sled and then eventually came small amounts of coffee powder into the water suction. But it was not so bad, because you can clean the hoses perfectly. So removed the plastic cover and with the mouth, the small amount of coffee powder from the water pump rausgesaugt / blown.
- After 2 years needed a new brewer, because the sealing rings of the ancient brewing unit were worn out! This error has thus become noticeable that always was water in the pulp and also these coffee sets roundish / were no more than a piece of simple but was just a bunch of powder and the interior of the coffee machine was always full of powder. Also during the flushing process was always a lot of coffee in the cup, all signs point to a defective infuser. So buy on the bay a new brewing unit (cost 25-30 incl. Shipping), and the coffee tastes again like the first day, the interior was clean again and also in the cup were no powder residue. Probably a replacement of the sealing rings would have been enough of the brewing unit, would have cost only a few Euros. But I wanted alone for reasons of hygiene simply a completely new brewing unit, for 25-30 very low anyway.
1 time a month to clean the brewing unit, ie remove and rinse under warm water and possibly wipe out coffee residue with a cloth. Here I can only recommend, not (!) To press the lever and to clean the inside of the piston. Herewith you destroy these filming / fat layer inside the flask and probably was that the reason why my brewing unit after 2 years broke down because of worn sealing rings. Man destroys the lubricating film inside the piston and the rings rub then only on plastic wear to them. Therefore, only the top of the brewing unit, meaning that clean metallic leaf and everything related to these levers.
The taste of the coffee is really good. Here, however, it also depends very much on the coffee beans used from, and partly also the setting of the grinder and the coffee strength with the wheel depends. My grinder is set to level 5, so the coffee has a nice crema and tastes really good. The coffee strength I have adjusted to approximately 55%. Too strong tastes good coffee in the long run not.
The only gripe I have with the coffee: You can program only the amount of water by 1 cup. Many particularly expensive coffee machines can be programmed with eg small, medium and large cups. The whole is in principle not so bad, I drink anyway always of large coffee cups. Now, when using smaller cups, then you can stop the water flow manually or extend. If one presses the button 1 time during the coffee brewing, the machine will automatically stop dispensing coffee. If you want to have more coffee because it uses larger cups than programmed, then you can after the machine stops outputting coffee again hold the button pressed and the machine will continue from coffee. The Delonghi offers practically the ability to regulate the amount of water as desired manually. Enough I find out completely because I anyway only use large cups and on certain occasions or purposes one can still press the button or hold more / less coffee to get.
The amount of water which is programmed, you can set arbitrarily. It provides its desired cup under it, the coffee button held down for about 5 seconds, the coffee runs out until you the coffee button pressed once and the coffee then stores this value and you have in the future for the programmed coffee cup always the optimal amount of coffee.
The machine still has a Dampaufschäumer, I've been using exactly 3 times. One can therefore quite hammer out a good milk foam, but the time required me personally to get the milk foam and then to clean the nozzle of milk still far too cumbersome. Who attaches great importance to Cappucino, I recommend directly to the more expensive professional machines with real milk frother. I personally like it, especially straightforward, press coffee button to get fresh coffee and drink and not very long to occupy myself with the cleaning. For the pure coffee dispensing machine as I find the perfect!
Due to the low price of the machine it is suitable even for little drinkers / households are quite. The maintenance costs are very low as mentioned above, it's a huge gain in comfort if you have to press in the morning only 2 buttons (power button, coffee button) and then gets served delicious coffee. The pomace I have emptied 1 time a week, the water tank with its 1.8L enough for about 4 large cups (180ml coffee + space even for a little milk). Each time you turn off the coffee & about each 100ml consumed for rinsing, but I did very well find there so any coffee residue in the hoses are flushed out and you just morning just has no residues in the coffee.
All in all I am very satisfied, the 22110B coffee is a coffee machine that does precisely what it is supposed of: serve delicious coffee.
The maintenance costs are low, the taste great, the operation simple and straightforward and in case of problems to get ran to almost all components of the machine, also you can get over the Internet almost every spare part for a reasonable price. From me most buy recommendation!
