First things first; I have not played any previous NfS parts in "Hot Pursuit" for PS3 heard my liaison with EA's cash cow for now on. And even though I was not really convinced of what is mentioned part, I wanted to give NfS another chance and settled down to a gameplay that now more similar to that of Burnout, as the actual NFS. Which is why I also do not like to elaborate on this point. I drive just like a madman with Nitro over the place, what the heck.
The first impression of the game was at least from not bad. The graphics like (although I would have liked a slightly larger jump from PS3 to PS4), the urge to turf adapts quickly and without great exercise succeed one everything can be found virtually within minutes into the game. Also this mix of online and offline world, first thoroughly its appeal. Even the clichéd setting Welcome by merciless cops and daring racers you take more out.
But then one is tempted but on the question of what it is now doing exactly everything. Well, as always, depending 3 would be the so-called. Speed List, to choose from, which in turn specify three tasks (get X points in a single run, X ram opponents, 1 are in a race, ...). These lists, however, are built up speed quite simple, are also in progressive gameplay not varied and can be processed in a matter of minutes without any problems. After that there's always a new vehicle to buy, as well as additional performance and appearance upgrades and jump to the next level / chapter. If you play as a cop, even buying the vehicles unnecessary. A story is almost not there, and as already mentioned, it is possible without great efforts whiz your way through the Speed lists lawn. And then, what happens next?
Frankly, I do not know. You drive a bit around, goes here and there a race or a pursuit, sometimes you may even discover human players (what with me so far rarely occurred, it usually ran out of the way, ignoring himself) and collects diligent SP points to buy cars and upgrades to. Reads the possibly still somewhat motivating the Einkaufsmöglichenkeiten turn out to be a bad joke. Body color, Rim color, a handful of decorations for the car, individualizing of the license plate and that was it already. Not that I would place great emphasis on (before an NFS: U not need to this to have fun). But if you list this already as an argument for the purchase, you can expect a little more quiet variety.
The races themselves are designed to still the same. Speed straights along preschen with rain nitro-consumption, effortless drift through the corners to put little later to the miracle cure Nitro. The AI adapts to your own abilities and offers beginners thus also quick sense of achievement. Exaggerated the accident sequences that lead already at gefühltem idle catastrophic rollovers and losing all body parts were only back (again; Burnout says hello).
In short, I miss in "Rivals" unique long-term motivational aspects that justify a proud price of 70 euros in any way. And as long as I have not found this, I have to "Rivals" a disappointment accept that their money - definitely not worth it - at the present time.
