The flight time of 10 minutes, so I'm glad that I immediately ordered a replacement battery.
Why the manufacturer a charging time of 60 min, indicating battery and a charger with 500mA at a 1500mA, me however is a mystery. There are mathematically and practically about 2-3 hours, depending on the remaining charge.
After the first test flight I first completely greased it with fat model in order to relieve the motors and servos, and then adjusted the maximum deflections and the horns of the servos for stronger winds,
where it was set in the configuration already delivered good for little wind.
The disassembly and assembly ran smoothly thanks to the screwdriver supplied with the camera and I must say the quality is right.
Light to medium Abstürtze has the Heli coped easily and I could, after checking the correct seat of the coupling rods on the ball heads, restart immediately.
For unfortunate cases still doing a set of spare main rotor blades and tail rotor.
The transmitter is very good for the price and it can be set 4 different joystick assignments.
In addition, the maximum deflection for each channel is set on the transmitter side, which I did not expect and is catching well as the tail rotor.
The feel is good but of course accordingly not compare the price with an expensive transmitter.
Also interesting is the button for the camera, with which you can start and stop recordings.
The camera, however, is not so successful, as the micro SD card first did not want to keep, so I screwed the camera and the detent bent slightly forward so that the nose can engage in the map.
The picture quality is due to the low resolution is not particularly good, and rather a nice accessory. For the price with card and USB adapter you can not ask for more as well.
The dismantling of the card is a fumbling and could be made easier with a small grip for the fingernails.
Surprised me was the opportunity between video and still image shooting switch, the card has about 1 GB capacity and I eh receiving only videos.
The camera records in addition to the sound, which is, however, mainly determined by engine noise, the atmosphere of the video but represents a certain enrichment.
If you have a little practice, you can also fly the helicopter fast times in the small garden behind the house, will not have to go to the flying field.
Conclusion:
For the price an unbeatable package with a very high fun factor for beginners and casual fliers (as it is fixed pitch and therefore no inverted flight is possible).
Let's see how long it will last.
So far, however, the best price / performance ratio on the helicopter sector and astonished friends, colleagues, neighbors or passers-by are guaranteed.
Edit: To protect the motors on, I have a flat, about 8 mm wide ring made of aluminum foil, tinkered a cooling head for the main engine and this fixed with a ring of ballpoint pens.
I also have ventilation for the tail rotor improved by I gently several 4-5mm holes mounted axially and radially in Heckrotorgehäuse.
Additionally, I have worked on both sides with a countersink and a 8mm drill to reach the swash plate by more deflection, but not too much odometer so that centering and the structure is still maintained.
Because by the slightly larger possible inclination of the swash plate, the needle / fixation that is designed to prevent the rotation of the swash plate, can easily slip out of the guide and then hooked (possibly even without swash plate tuning), I have the lead up honing cleanest and a thin , extended Metallröhchen slid over the plastic needle.
Result: The helicopter is now flying fantastically, forward acceleration (Elev) is awesome and the cooling is much better.
Edit: 15.Flug main engine failed. Presumably, the brushes are designed for about 15 flights because the motor was never too hot and the Abkühlfasen was always respected, too bad. I think the rear engine will follow soon.
Edit: Main engine rebuilt on Brushless vector 5600kv and Robbe Roxxy controller (together 50-60 euros) but the middle of the 17th flight, the guides for the connecting-rods of the rotor blades stopped (directly on the rotor head) (vermtl said predetermined breaking point.). Thus, the F45 is no longer controllable forward or backward. Let's see if and when I can make more stable guides from ABS, CFRP or aluminum. I hope in the next series they are amplified or a gap in the market for tuning parts opens up.
