Customer Review

For about 100 Ocken the Lenovo actually comes therefore quite well. Factory now again log ca.18MB update with Android 4.4, which turn the first time.

Optics & feel:
The back and side areas have a slightly rubberized and thus something slip. Nevertheless Fingertapper are -also not be overlooked on the Rückseite-. The build quality is good, the gaps in the framework. My old tablets were significantly thicker and thereby keep a little better. Ultimately, however, habituation thing.
The tablet works liquid in the application, nothing jerky. Also films from internal play without stuttering. Only the Netflix app mucked around a bit. At the start of a movie jerky so about half a minute long (picture freezes, sound continues, then comes back image, etc.). After about half a minute ner calmed the but and the film then goes on without problems. Whether, however, caused the app or the tablet I can not say, therefore, no deduction in the evaluation.

Display:
IPS display. Very bright and well-lit. However, the display for my taste has a slight slope to the white stitch, giving it a slightly cool tint. However, "bleating" at a high level. The Lenovo offers a much higher resolution 1280x800 like my old tablet and is in my view for this size more than adequate.
Positive I want -through the multiple comparison with other devices of the same Preisklasse- mention the high viewing angles here. Is in this price range -wohl- not self-evident and as the Lenovo may well compete with higher-priced devices.

Android (4.4.2) and Launcher:
Here you can say "like Apple iOS, Apple IOS feel". All APP links are not in a program overview (App Drawer), but lying on the Launcher Desktop. The only advantage here is perhaps that also remove apps from the desktop / can be deleted. Major drawback at this point (as with Apple's IOS) that allows app shortcuts use only once. It is therefore not possible to create different Launcher desktops to, and use an app shortcut several times. Also everything is distributed confused on several Launcher pages. So if you have installed many apps, may soon lose the overview, even as there is neither an automatic sorting option, even a search function. The only option here is to work with folders or possibly to try. Another launcher. This one is certainly nothing.
As a plus point I can say that the Lenovo Tablet has virtually no bloatware or other garbage apps preinstalled. Even the (Basic) Launcher is likely to affect more positive in terms of performance, because it comes without gimmicks. Next can be almost anything (except the Google tools) remove preinstalled.
Of the 8GB memory are occupied by the system about 2GB. Knapp 6GB are so used. Contrary to some reviews here, the apps can of course outsource. However, only about board means. APP2SD, LINK2SD or similar tools do not work here.

eMMC memory 8GB (embedded MultiMediaCard):
The so-called. Internal memory (8GB) is a eMMC memory. Means roughly that this is not a hard disk, but a built-Multimedia (SD) card. This is internally mounted as SD-1, ext. SD card SD-2. Here the explanation is likely to be (other than the Android 4.4 issue) why APP2SD and LINK2SD not function. To use eMMC card as the internal memory is already been used for years in LowBudgetTablet, simply in order to save costs. Here even more kudos to Lenovo that you have made it possible nevertheless to outsource Apps there (at least on internal board means). Was with my old tablet impossible (same problem).

WiFi:
Works perfectly so far, with no obvious problems .... (Fritzbox 3170; 7270; TPLINK AV500 WIFI; KABEL BW something Box)
Note: Some describe wireless problems / crashes. It should be noted in general times:
In the router I recommend 12/13 channel or AUTO to avoid. Preferably, channel 1. To spark more like 5 devices in the neighborhood on channel 1, then try any channel 11 or 6. Up to three routers on a channel make usually no problem. Only if more as 5 routers on one channel should be avoided. With me sparks 5 units + My (3170 connected to channel 6 and 7270 on channel 11 with the same SSID means PowerLan) without problems in the area. So you could do without 802.11b (these old devices do not support WPA times to my knowledge) could be on channel 1,5,9, (13) dodge / split. Here then would theoretically channel more available. However, the Lenovo may not be optimized for the European market and therefore turn the support for channel 12/13 rather lukewarm. The best experience -and yet these are some- I made with 1,6,11. My Fritzbox 3170 radioed the other 802.11b / g with 54Mbit (which can not) jerky on channel 6 and also here and trundles nix. If everything goes smooth ....

USB On-The-Go (OTG)
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Wireless Mouse 1000 800 via USB stick (Bluetooth) works
Logitech MK260 keyboard and mouse via USB stick (Bluetooth) works
Logitech V20 USB speakers do not work (on Samsung S3 with Android 4.3 is no problem)

Speakers -> a star deduction.
"Laut_sprecher"? More of a Quiet Speaker. In a pinch, if nothing else at hand, and held to your ear, then you can certainly hear a tone. That's nothing, too quiet, too tinny and the name "Lenovo" not worth it. I have had many low-budget tablets in his hands. But this is by far the worst -leider- previously. A somewhat better sound would Tablet immensely upgrading.

Battery and runtime:
Is gripped very high with 8 hours. I'm so in 5 to 6 hours, under normal use. Possibly is even better the battery over the next few days. But to me it is enough for an evening surf on the couch all times. In standby power saving mode with the tablet consumes virtually no power. Battery had lt. Display after 8 hours Standby lost about 1% charge. For me, a very good value. Charging time at 2A (do not use the original charger) about 2 hours (15% to 100%) and in absolute terms in the time window.

Information LED:
There is not any. Neither a charge indicator still a reference on incoming e-mail message. A pity. Whether it really is up to the 10 cents.

Light sensor:
There is not any. Brightness settings, however, about Launcher rebar to achieve top right quickly. I use however anyway in any of my devices.

Front camera:
For video telephony sufficient but nothing more.

Rear camera:
There is not any. But I miss not even ...

Streaming and streaming services:
Netflix -As hats already Read- the movie start with the Netflix app so half a minute problems (standing image, sound goes on). But calmed down rel. fast and then runs without further problems. --- Update: Here I also noticed on TV that Netflix always a balmy bit rate starts (Quick Start?!?) And then -vermutlich once the supply buffer wird- slowly up clocked at full HD. The Lenovo has here probably a little trouble. Once the image then in HD runs (max. 30 seconds), the film runs smoothly continue .----
Amazon Prime repair video, after an odyssey of horror thing first: Does not work or somehow !!! However, if you believe ... who knows not Amazon. Who wants to know how it ever does not work, read on. Who wants to know how to get it up and running, just a little further down ....
So: There is a wonderful Amazon Prime maintenance Video App for Android. Unfortunately, not in the Play Store. So first Amazon Store draufgeladen, then downloaded and installed Amazon Prime repair video. Those who started, a menu 'Next to install the app' appears and then ultimately to land through the browser on Amazon (for which it is the app?). About the browser logged Amazon announced then a list of supported devices. Lenovo is not among them. My Samsung S3 is not there, but it works strangely. Converted to desktop browser mode, then Amazon requires Adobe Flash Player. Well, no problem, Dolphin Browser with Adobe Flash installed (probably the only one who works with the flash) and again on Desktop mode (everything else works not) registered with Amazon. Now Amazon requires the Microsoft Silverlight plugin. Is there for Android of course not. Or is it? Finally now it's over for me. Why now my Samsung S3 (Android 4.3 without Silverlight) works with the app and the Lenovo not (Android 4.4)? Whether it is because Samsung ensures the higher revenue? Better market position? Amazon wants to push up your own Kindle tablet and so locks out other suppliers. Customer-friendly and done differentlyliebes Amazon Team -> then it remains just at Netflix.
UPDATE PRIME INSTANT VIDEO ... how it works (and there is a time until it coming)
Those who have installed the App Store for Amazon in Google Play Store can uninstall it again. The work that is not related to the Prime Instant Video app. The PIV-app requires the default Amazon store for smartphones, which does not find the tab in the Google Play Store. (Here you could tell where the whole hinläuft so slowly).

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Step 1: All installed apps on the Amazon Lenovo down Delete, uninstall etc.
Step 2: Then download on the Amazon page, the AppStore app. Is there not in the Google Play Store. Goes well eg Chrome browser on the tablet. Install this finding usually under Downloads (Android settings-security- "Unknown sources" permit).
Step3. Download now the Amazon Prime Instant Video app via this Appstore and install.
Step 4. Installing from the Amazon App Store Amazon Store app (this is is the version for smartphones, which can not be found in Google Play Store Yes).
Step 5. Register About Amazon Store App and Amazon Prime Instant Video app start .. voila .. now runs this .... (the AppStore can be subsequently uninstalled ...)
Shortcut: Video with Smartphone App Store works. Video with Tablet App Store is not working.
-I could hardly keep from laughing. Nope Amazon, so no. Customer-friendly definitely be done differently and such an approach is completely unacceptable. Either everything in the Play Store or then honestly just nothing. But an app (for tablet optimized, my ass) in the Play Store provide, which does not work and the functioning can not be found ... And the reference to the in-house Tablets ... nönönö .... so a fortiori not ....
On the iPhone, both the Amazon App Shopp and Prime Instant Video app on Apple's App Store can install and use them, without limitation (I wonder why). Also featuring the Prime Video APP is much better under Apple's IOS. The point is, if you like because ....

Conclusion:
For the price (about 70 to 100 Ocken) you get a perfectly acceptable and solid entry-level or low-budget tablet. Of course there are better on the market, but also for considerably more money. Of course, the tablet also has some weaknesses (no info LED, lousy speakers). But all in all, makes it what it is and at a pretty good price.

Supplement / Update for Tablet:
Having now had the tablet some time in operation, here maybe the one or the other may be "useful" information.
Outsourcing of apps on the SD card is generally possible (many installed themselves; not all; not systemic) on board means. Link2SD, APP2SD etc. do not work (Android 4.4 "problem"). They are moved to the SD card in a separate, hidden folder (only visible via external SD card reader, directly on the PC). However, the applications ONLY. Any other related information (Scores etc.) are for the time being continue to be written to the internal memory (Android 4.4 "problem").
Once the SD card is removed from the device, the links are also gone on the desktop, these applications therefore no longer available. Once the SD card is inserted again, the shortcuts on your desktop reappear. However, not as previously ordered, but on the last page of the launcher. Who should outsource / wants can outsource without ROOT only Internal (Settings / Apps so). A little complicated, but works at least. Thus, for at least the internal memory largely free hold.
Storage Handling:
No "foreign" may write app to an external SD card with Android 4.4. This is no fault of the device but a target of Google Android 4.4. Google expects that today boils down through the cloud, and anyone, anywhere, ever Internet has made available. Also security arguments are often introduced. I would like, however, about the usefulness not enter. There is probably also one of the reasons why Link2SD and APP2SD not function. Even the ES File Explorer can for now only describe the internal memory, so card had only read access to the external SD. Sticking point here: change default write disk to SD card (either specify when you insert the SD card OK or settings / memory to SD card conversion). Then also gets the ES File Explorer 'write / erase access' to the SD card. Otherwise, a file browser is installed, which also has read, write and delete access to the SD card. What then again everything is still possibly written on the SD card, I'm here, however, too far.
I can not and will not blame here Lenovo. Everything is related to the concept of Google's Android 4.4. All in all I find the solution from Lenovo (outsourcing on board means largely possible standard memory conversion and thus access to ES Explorer etc.) even more positive, even if everything comes a bit cumbersome. But even without root / SU (guarantee?) Is much feasible.
Transfer rate (250MB file) of internal memory to external SD card (SD Ultra Class10 32GB) '!!! No Benchmark !!! with onboard file browser
Internal to external 15 seconds
External to internal 40 seconds

Buying I have not looked back since. There are for the same money a lot more scrap in the market. Who -As I- not swimming in wealth, currently receives a consistently acceptable device for the price (around 100 Öcken).

Last even for Christmas special (was effective as the normal version of the purchase):
The JBL headphones (emphasis on headphones headset) is for a ton. No sound, no character, only einwach a dull, bass-less Gewummer. The JBL produced such scrap ... now is not exactly the best advertisement. A headset is a headphone and -for me- no headset (since no microphone).
The bag actually too big for the Tablet ... well, better than nothing, but nothing more. Semsonite -> Was of nothing ...

UPDATE (March 2015) bezgl Chromecast support to 54Mbit Wifi.:
Followed suit and set up Chromecast app from the Play Store, everything works so far quite well. Mirrors in Chromecast works (Latency felt
