After the joy to find an author whose psychological depth I like even more than the detective stories, it is clear that the said depth is absent from this pretty little English novel policeman either. It reads with interest but without passion, and friend Jane Austen is forgotten, it must be admitted: the fact remains that the name of the characters, their social status and their decor (lovely incidentally!) To summarize: the brother Darcy, vile doubled of an inveterate seducer, is accused of murdering his friend. Would follow a slow investigation, trial and shipped a little bit surprising revelation, all in a lovely British atmosphere: the shaded remains of Pemberley, home to all floors, conventions, morality, all that, all that ..
