From his former membership in the "new German hardness" is virtually no trace here. The arrangements are often very delicately and sensitively created, and then literally fly in an immense drama in the sky. It clearly shows what is home for versatility in this man, because he makes neither a "Bayreuth 4" still a stale rehash of former NDW-time. Particularly successful, I find the border in tango clock "recklessness", but my favorite song is "Light in the ocean" with its sensitive and at the same time yet so powerful statement. Other personal favorite tracks are "tears", "earthquake", "blood" and "go now". Sonically, the disc is a treat, and the Friends of sophisticated synthesizer sounds / Arrangements will get their costs. And again and again the texts ..... Ah, just stunningly beautiful, as Witt manages to interpret feelings without kitsch and pop-picked Schmonz. His talent for witty skurillem text celebrating at many a point back with a vengeance, and ensures that the melancholy gets every now and then missed a witty jab.
CD 2 is completely counterproductive to the first and contains original and Whimsical, including the first version of the "Golden Rider" (in English), which I've never heard before. Also one or another alternative version of his music from the "hardness-time" is less.
The noble foil made book finally has an interesting biography of the artistic life of Joachim Witt and the lyrics for the new album.
Overall, a masterpiece for people who are able, with a glass of wine to enjoy music in hand and not only be seen as background music.
