All Cuff novels as a single volume, large and flexible. And quite handy. The stunning comic book, Tardi figure also achieved with this "Quarto", in full, and its pages are reproduced properly, given the size of the collection. Each novel is preceded by excerpts from newspaper (still unpublished) of the author, containing reflections that accompanied its composition. My favorites are The N'Gusto case, the square on the narrative level, and The Prone Gunman. But even full Morgue, just missed the point of view of the plot is interesting. I can not resist the temptation to quote from chapter 20: "How long can you live with five brick and the memory of someone we sold? Answer: do not fit in memory, as said one of my friends computer "... Dark and ironic novels, where the dialogue is a natural blending. Both the dialogues exhibit natural, as in the novels narrated in the third person, the narrative voice that frames these dialogues is not afraid of the fireworks brands: focus, as is often external technical "behaviorist" which is Cuff calls, sometimes becomes internal, and remarks, judgments or doubts of the author-narrator appear here and there. Except in two adventures of former gendarme Tarpon (novels in the first person), the source of this narrative voice can not be located, has no clearly defined status. As if the narrative voice of cuff novels could not fix, or refused to fix the distance between the author-narrator and his characters. The latest projects cuff, interrupted by his premature death, are lightning Intelligence: Iris, beginning of a novel which promised very free in its form, and the princess of the blood, which has friendly and striking hero (less ambiguous than the protagonists of the previous novels), and was to be the beginning of a true saga of a cycle of spy novels that would eventually reach our time after exploring the previous four decades. A glossary of the realities of the 1960s and 70s, made by the woman and the son of cuff, complete this full and can read novels without having to do extensive research on the Internet.
