Basically, I already knew the cleaners from a friend who helped me the throttle body about my 8 year old golf on the outside to be seen openings to clean. And that alone has me already convincing. The cleaner removes even dried encrusted oil residues and remaining only the bare metal or cast aluminum housing. Something clean (with a toothbrush) may from time to shorten the exposure time. ;-) I have ultimately gained even a bottle of it and removed completely around the casing to clean in a "quiet moment" the throttle below the flap. If it is used regularly (at permanent city trips) every 1-2 years one notices the difference. Clean the throttle response and smoother running are the result.
I can only recommend the cleaner. I have additionally the motor system cleaner from Liqui Moly used as gasoline additive and about 200km added before the last review still a sludge flushing the old oil before oil change.
Admittedly, I was skeptical about the mode of action of Aditiven but I think the engine is running in total clean. In addition, the self-test are quite cheap at a cost of about 25-30 compared to an hour of work in a specialist workshop also.
If one uses the additives depending on kilometers traveled regularly you can also safely out of trouble and enjoys the quietness of its "used" in spite of a certain age.
