But above all, convinced the album by its simple but cool concept: Cudder travels the world, Mr. Rager (evil Cudder) comes and the skin around it.
In the course of the whole time was again divided into 5 acts: The World I Am Ruling, A Stronger Trip, Party On, The Transformation & You Live, You Learn. I am especially taken by the 1st, 3rd and 4th - since is not that much left. And what remains, nevertheless is good. Not a single song sag. Although Wild'n Cuz I'm Young a bit monotonous and The End pretty used to (at least initially), but every piece of music convinced a very own way.
My Favorites:
1. Mr. Rager - terrific song. Magnificent production and brilliant vocals, text fits.
2. Scott Mescudi vs. The World (feat Cee-Lo.) - Brilliant opener to the whole spectacle - very melodic makes you feel good.
3. Maniac (feat Cage & St. Vincent.) - Hammer Beat with an excessive chorus embodies the glorious Rager
4. REVOFEV - Incredibly successful instrumental, the grand finale leaves but at times a little too much time in coming.
5. The Mood - very, very cool. Difficult to describe - mediated super mood.
Now the question: Despite the seemingly impossible expectations that somehow could even satisfy the album: What's better - Man on the Moon 1 or 2?
Clear answer: 2!
Again one of the highlights of this year (and the competition was much more powerful 2010 - Eminem, BoB, Drake and more ...)
... And another side note, I find it remarkable how far away Kid Cudi but floats from the mainstream. With the success that he has received any other artist on this annoying sounds Pop-electro-house-all-equal-rail would certainly inflected, which always strikes us from the radios to their ears. But not our Cudder. Thanks!
