A Best Of on two CDs, the up to the Bluesbreakers- and Yardbirds beginnings in the mid-60s beginning with the first 'supergroup' Cream includes the creative periods Clapton. The spectrum of Songauswal shows the variety the oeuvre of this exceptional guitarist has adopted over the years and how he true to himself in his affection for Blues but regardless of the trips in the harsh British blues rock (60s with Cream), reggae (70s with 461 Ocean Boulevard et seq.) and the Pop (80s has remained to Journeyman). The chronological song selection has succeeded - by 'Complete' can of course be no question, 'Essential' would have been certainly more appropriate. For the fan, this publication is not suitable for the collector at best a successful compilation for the car. But so is nice an album anyway.
