Who needs at all a beauty dish? In my opinion you can do with a soft- or Oktabox once. There are also honeycomb Move. Important, I find that you have a boom stand, which allows you to position themselves accordingly from above the light sometimes.
The Beauty Dish is the light slightly harder than a softbox. Especially with assembled honeycomb you can then make the impossible possible - throwing soft light in a very narrow place. This leaves as the background dark. Or you can still put contours with other lights without slain by the guide light it all.
It is to say that the Beaty Dish swallows a lot of light, straight with assembled honeycomb. Safe can work with 300 Ws, I would recommend at least 500 Ws. Personally, I sometimes take pictures with aperture 11 or later, so I tuned a 1000 Ws. The gives me the feeling of being able to act without restriction.
The quality is perfect, it can be attached by all flashes on Bowens connection. The weight is also within the scope, as you should watch closer to the flashes. I find this very pleasant light evenly distributed, no deviations can detect in the photos.
Conclusion: Cheaper you will probably come to no professional 50cm Beauty Dish with Honeycomb. In other Herstellerbn one must scroll a lot more to the table, another light cometh not out probably.
