SIZE of the Beamer:
What my right noticed when unpacking BOTH Beamer: they are still much smaller than expected. What "postivie" surprise unpack in terms of "Winzlige" As for, both projectors take anything. Although the above is Pearl projector yes compared to "full-blown" home theater projector also already be described as mini-projector ... the Rollei and he felt again Tbright are 70-80% smaller! Ergo both Beamer actually fit in the trouser or jacket pocket.
IMAGE:
This is of course the most important factor when it comes to Beamer purchases. The Rollei Innocube is a small marvel compared to the aforementioned Pearl projector. It comes really amazed what comes out of this small designer Rubik's Cube. However, it should be noted here directly: the room must be virtually completely obscured. Although the image shines much brighter than that of the Pearl projector, but it is not enough really for use of Innocube's at any time at any place. Also notice that the colors show partly too much saturation. To this end, the way you can make any settings on Inncoube. Furthermore falling on a slightly pixelated image.
After I took the Innocube Tbright in operation. And as the sun rose! The picture is so crisp, the colors appear natural ("strong") and the image radiates just as brightness and contrast. It should of course be noted that the Innocube is indeed expelled with 35 lumens and 85 lumens Tbright with part manufacturers. As for the lumen readings I am however not sure how authentic the values are given, because both the Rollei Innocube and the Tbright x100 appear much brighter than the values specified; just the Innocube with 35 to 40 lumens of the aforementioned Pearl beamer! Thus, just the image of just Tbright x100 looks almost as bright as in a "normal" home cinema projector.
Of course it's always good to be found ideal conditions in terms of darkened rooms with every projector use. But the mini-projector are supposed to represent no real home theater replacement, but a make independently: without electricity anywhere to be able to look at something at any time.
This requirement (over) meets the Tbright x100 definitely. And tiny at this size. While, as mentioned before, are visible when Innocube pixels, one sees virtually no pixels at Tbright; not even with greater projection. A great performance of development in my view!
Sound:
The sound can be "forgotten" in both Rollei Innocube both the Tbright x100. Since I had no expectations before purchasing. Because at least the tone there is just physical borders, which can not (as in the picture) "outsmart" can.
The mentioned "cawing" of Ton's I could not understand or experience to both devices, however, from various test's. Speech intelligibility is in the OK range.
When Innocube has incidentally not have a chance to turn off the sound or to control volume up / down! Here I am working with the "trick" to suppress the sound of the smartphone / tablet / notebook via HDMI to the Innocube: either a) connection via Bluetooth with Bluetooth speakers or b) connection via 3.5mm audio cable (connection to an appropriate box.
The Tbright sounds a bit better than the Innocube. Also can adjust the volume here. But even when Tbright I give the tone as described from.
PROCESSING:
The Innocube acts clearly-quality and feels like that. Especially when "colored" cubes you will have the advantage that the tiny cubes will visually show permanent scratches. This will "look" about the time when Tbright differently: the surface is kept in high-gloss black. The material does not feel just scratch-resistant to.
HANDLING / Steering:
So chic and high quality of small cubes also may seem, at least in the handling notice that you have not thought of the Rollei to the end. The mini-projector to be used anywhere yes; no matter what surface and no matter at what angle. Thus, the need to "Winzlige" are somehow fixed / held and each projection angle withstand. Latest when the HDMI cable and / or the power cord are connected: the projectors are (thankfully) not hard enough as to remain in one position.
Unfortunately, the Innocube has for a tripod thread. Here I have put together something very simple: fixed 5M mother with wide support from the hardware store by Tesa Power Bond. So I can use the mini-tripod for the Innocube. The Tbright incidentally a Tripod.
Settings are possible when Innocube no; except sharpness control. The Tbright has, however, a high / low control and you can switch between Movie and presentation mode; unnecessary in my opinion.
Both projectors have small / "fiddly" wheel to focus regulation; But ultimately resolved acceptable.
What strikes me the steady Projector Comparison between the Innocube and Tbright: when Tbright the location of the connections and the focusing-wheel is quickly learned. When Innocube I have to look always / rotate the cube, where each port and where is the focusing-wheel; spread over 3 different sides of the cube.
Both projectors have no keystone value settings. I noticed already on with my extensive / weeks of research, that none of the mini-projector - the market available today - has a trapezoidal value adjustment. Actually, such trapezium-regulation would just desirable when using the mini-projector, since the mini's are indeed placed spontaneously anywhere in a rule where is "somewhere" a bright surface ... and it was the ceiling. And no matter where I have two beamers been used / tested ... the image has always inclined trapezoidal values. I guess' that a trapezoidal control is mechanical / electronic expensive or elaborate.
The battery function was an important prerequisite for the purchase with me. The midgets make in my view when it comes to use only makes sense if they can also operate spontaneously without power cable. So far I have not experienced a battery life of about 1.5 hours in both projectors. Considering the small size of the two projectors, it already is a miracle that there at all batteries could be installed. Therefore, the battery life for me is fine. Sure I will from and in addition to use the Power Bank to operate when I about 1.5 hours watching "mobile"..
FAN NOISE:
What stands out in both projectors: the tiny produce a fairly loud fan noise. Here the level is not in proportion to the body size. The sound is comparable to that of the volume produces the notebook fans. Unfortunately, there is no automatic or manual control of the fan. From my perspective, the fans run at two beamers at "high speed", because it comes - no matter for which operating time - not even 'lukewarm air from the projectors. Ergo, the ventilation of the speed forth too high and thus unfortunately also "unnecessary" too loud.
But after a few minutes it takes the sound eh true no longer active; at that time was similar to the old home theater projectors.
CONCLUSION:
The Rollei Innocube has disappointed me in terms of image especially in the Brightness / Contrast. He still makes fun when you operate it in a darkened room! The cube-mite is a real eye catcher and first stunned everyone. It bothers that the sound is not switched off or unregulierbar (see "trick" above). From my perspective, here the price / performance ratio is not right; too expensive.
The iconBIT Tbright x100 baffled when it comes to excellent image. Here my expectations were absolutely exceeded. The 85 lumens act much brighter. This picture reminds me of the quality of her to older home theater projector that I had in use a few years ago. Only: this projector were X times as large compared to Tbright!
By Tbright I have therefore found everything I was looking for: A deployable anywhere mobile projector.
