BURN FOR ME has me all liked in particular. Ilona Andrews writes usual fluid and pleasant and the book reads was able to broadly satisfy almost by itself. The plot of BURN FOR ME. The tension comes up short in any way and there are some exciting confrontations between our team and Adam. Even quieter, character-oriented scenes are built and it always comes back to humorous moments. The plot is very straight forward and follows Nevada and her research. The magical elements in BURN FOR ME convinced me and the details that we get, make great appetite for more. The end of the novel seems to me but a little choppy and confusing. I will not say more to spoil anyone, I can only find that the large opening in the epilogue is somewhat too come surprising here.
The figures in BURN FOR ME who I really liked. Nevada is a very sympathetic main character and she was sympathetic to me from the first page. She is a confident young woman that comes their way, and is primarily focused on her career and her family. Their magic is very rare and Nevada attaches great importance to ensuring that no one experiences outside the family about it. Rogan is a very interesting character. His magical abilities are incredibly strong and he has made a name for itself as a butcher in the war against Mexico. Admired and feared at the same time he withdrew from the public eye, but his encounter with Nevada arouses his interest. Rogan like it really well, but I'm not sure if he and Nevada may submit a harmonious couple. The two are completely different and not only come from completely different worlds, their morals are virtually opposite. Just as Rogan and Nevada now each other, would be a relationship between them for me not work, but who knows what will happen in the other books yet. Bothered me the way also that the whole novel about Rogan as Mad Rogan is dubbed, what did it feel fast ridiculous for me. The romance between Nevada and Rogan is a "slow burn", who expected sizzling scenes, will be here probably a bit disappointed. I liked the slow development of their relationship very much and I think anything else would have been inappropriate. As I said, I'm curious to see how the relationship will develop.
The secondary characters in BURN FOR ME who I really liked. Nevada's family is given some space and is just great and personable. The other characters that I liked.
All in all, despite the slight weaknesses convinced me BURN FOR ME. Who likes to read romances with a solid and exciting plot and endearing characters, is sure to have his joy. I am looking forward to the sequel. Recommended!
