More and more addictive!

Like the first two books I read it four years ago ... So it is a bit old, I must admit. And as I have a goldfish memory (which suits me for once), I thoroughly enjoyed this rereading because I had almost forgotten everything (except a point that I had chosen, not the best, of course!). So as you can imagine, I loved reading this, and this world I like more!

After the events of Volume 2, the war between Good and Evil pousuit. Valentin is ready to do anything to get the third relic, which will take him straight to power. In parallel, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, to know its past and save his mother, still in a coma. There, she will meet Sébastien, a mysterious young man with whom she learns that the only way to save the world is to create an alliance between the Shadow Hunters and Downworlders.

Although this third installment is more than 600 pages, I can tell you that directly takes guts, and that's hard to let go before reaching the end. In it, the suspense, anguish, action, situations reversals are shovel and present. The pen of the author is improving more and more, so that you are caught in the midst of Clary and his companions. Their quest will be fraught with pitfalls (if it's not funny) and they are far from the end of their surprises. And we also at the same time! If I usually am not a fan of long chapters, here they really swallow everything alone, which makes reading all the more addictive and captivating.

I especially liked to find the Jace / duo Simon. These two boys do not like ... but actually still a little. Consequently, their trade is truly exquisite, like a candy that would like to keep in the mouth. They are constantly sending spikes, which all resemble the most, and that annoys as much Clary, who would like good relations between them. As for Isabelle, I found more than erased the previous ones, which is a shame, because I love her character and personality. You never really know what she thinks, and remains very mysterious all the time. As for Alec, I found that in this opus, it has really grown mentally. If in earlier there was still a little "boy" here, he took an assurance that I really appreciate. Certainly, his choices are difficult to make, but are also useful later.

As for the plot and action ... it is never lacking, so much so that the pages turn by themselves and we feel a lack soon as one finishes the book. The story is still involved and more complex increasingly. I knew the author concealed his game, which she kept for her things, but the more we advance, the more we realize that it has not yet completely revealed all, and that it promises to read may surprise us and move more. She does not hesitate to hurt his characters (and thus we), injuring or killing certain which one was attached.

In summary, a tome 3 who took me to the guts, I had trouble letting go to attend to my business. Characters growing up mentally and we appreciate to find in this album. A plot increasingly complex and which one wonders what it promises for the future. With this book, you are on tenterhooks throughout. The turning situations are unexpected and addictive. The choice of characters are sometimes difficult to take, and the revelation of a shock. A saga that I really recommend to everyone. Strongly that I can read on!
