I mean since 1994, the clock has completely behavior problems and will probably continue to do so. Only a bracelet I once changed because the old had become brittle and break.
One drawback has the clock (when there is the affected): Not for thin arms.
I have, if I remember correctly, almost 15 years ago DM 385, - paid for it; Today it goes for 199 euros over the counter. Since you can not complain really.
Who wants to spend twenty times for a Rolex Submariner, which can of course do - better, the Rolex so nothing. Nothing at all. Not even the service is better. Incidentally, I still see no dive with a Rolex - the Citizen abound ...
Those looking for a high-quality mechanical clock for little money, can not get to these Citizen. It will otherwise find in this price range only on the used market, and also there is selection not too big (if you want to buy any scrap), water tightness is in this price range then not yet approach the speech.
A little tip on the edge: a chronograph all that often. The rotating bezel of the Citizen can also well as simple "stopwatch" use to 60 minutes if you do not dive: It is the triangle on the minute hand, and then on the minute hand since read the elapsed minutes. That should be enough for many purposes.
Supplement 12/2012:
Unfortunately, a new lover found my clock, it has been stolen from me. I have decided to buy a new, and was very pleased that the price is still the equivalent of approximately twenty years ago. Most famous brands are now inappropriate, become part outrageously expensive.
This time I chose the model with steel bracelet. With this I am less satisfied. While it fulfills its function, and can be adjusted in length without the use of special tools. It's enough a small screwdriver or other thin metal object (also the corkscrew a Victorinox knife is necessary) in order to add or remove members from the bracelet can. There are enough members of the possibility for big boys.
While it is sufficiently robust, but unfortunately seems rather windy compared to the clock itself, and therefore appear somewhat incongruous to me. On the other hand, should not be expected for the price not a gauge strip.
I have now removed the steel strip, and this bought a silicone bracelet from the accessories trade, which costs only a third of the price of the original Citizen rubber bracelet. I'm curious how it will prove itself. Diving I do not go now, unfortunately.
Should it be necessary once again -I hope non-, so I would again buy the clock with the rubber strap.
