And luckily there are always these games, which are more than just simple video games and stand out from the crowd. The Last of Us is one of these games, despite the Schauchlevel, despite the few opportunities for action that gets under your skin in spite of the simple gameplay mechanics, and me as a player as far as touches that I have to think after playing more than the story itself. The game creates, in contrast to many other video games that characters and actions are presented comprehensibly so that each loss of a character touches the players really emotional.
The atmosphere is so strong that I sometimes had to stop just to look at the country or simply listen to Ellie. That the game by the ESRB received "Not suitable for young", I think correctly, because the game is always extremely violent, but this absolutely fits the atmosphere of the game and is skillfully used as a stylistic device. Personally, I felt the violence degree never distracting, but rather as realistsisch. Realistically, incidentally also the constant ammunition shortages so that each wasted shot is painful in its own way.
All in all I can only recommend The Last of Us. Who is looking for a video game that stands out for its history and atmosphere, can strike without hesitation here. Only in the hands of children of this work of art is not one absolutely!
