Through the mass murder of the enslaved Spackle Mayor Prentiss has brought the wrath of the whole people over people. Now he has what he wanted all the time: War. Residents Havens face a superior force confronted because The country is more numerous than they ever believed. Todd must understand that they need the military experience of Mayors, if they do not want to be wiped out. He must release him. In the first battle, however, flows in spite of gallons of blood. Spackle and people die; Todd sees abominations that changing it sustainably. Almost human soldiers are overrun because The country has not left the years of ceasefire unused. At the last moment Viola Todd rescues from afar life by using the weapons of Kundschafterschiffes. Simone and Bradley, the crew of the ship, but it is not amazed. Especially Bradley is convinced that people have to try to make peace with the indigenous species, for all the settlers who will soon arrive in New World. Peace also want to Todd and Viola. But they know that that is very difficult, but Mayor Prentiss and Mistress Coyle still do their own thing. How are they supposed The country convinced of the advantages of an alliance, while not even consensus among the people?
Is the most difficult task in Todd and Viola's life to create a safer world.

I did not think that the Chaos Walking trilogy still be better, but Patrick Ness has actually managed to place in the finals yet gained a lot. I am absolutely in love with Monsters of Men, so much so that I stuffing me after reading how I pressed the book close to me, like it was a stuffed animal. For me it's more than just a novel, more than just a story. It is so real, so deep, vivid and emotive.
Thematically treated Patrick Ness several approaches that it has all worked out brilliantly. Ostensibly it comes to development. His action does not require the characters from less than to rise above themselves. You have to overcome and understand the vicious circle of hatred and revenge, as bad feelings just poison everything not only applies to the human figures. In Monsters of Men Ness integrated namely a new perspective: that of Spackle 1017, the sole survivor of the massacre, to the Todd has a special relationship. I loved his point of view, because it adds a whole new facet of the story. His pain, his hatred, his grief made me completely off balance. He introduced me to a level of understanding that I would have otherwise not been reached; particularly with regard to Todds action. Also, I found it fascinating how similar are 1017 and Todd, though they come from very different cultures. Both are driven by what is the people who love them done, at the edge and are to be more than once on the verge of fall. Both, however, occur in the decisive moment to step back and decide to do the right thing and to make their own feelings back.
On this point both in 1017 and Todd differ materially from Mayor Prentiss. In the last band as well as now in the finals came to me again and again the thought that Todd and Prentiss certainly have one or the other community. But in the end it is not so important, what they have in common is much more important, what makes them different. Prentiss is a crazy control freak who can be neither trust nor love in his heart. This substantial deficit can collapse under the weight of New Worlds him because he is not as able to indulge in the Noise, but wants to dominate him. He does not realize how beautiful is the connection that The Land with very New World have been received. This incredible network is just fantastic in its purity and clarity. At first I thought that the lack of any privacy is the worst that I can imagine. But now I wonder if a world in which every thought is open, actually would be so bad and scary. In Noise of The Land, there is no adjustment, no lies and no selfishness. They are truly ONE. They feel each other, feel every joy and every pain, even several kilometers away. Our world did that might be good. We are all bound together, would there be war? Could we then kill us yet another and make them suffer? I think such a connection could be the best versions let us all be our own. Imagine it: a world without lies, without (hidden) selfish thoughts and motives, without hypocrisy. Beautiful, is not it?

I have shed many tears during the reading of Monsters of Men. I experienced an extreme closeness and still it was not enough for me. I wanted to crawl into the book, be physically on site, the figures hug and tell them that everything will be fine. Especially Todd and Viola will forever have a place in my heart. They are for me one of the most extraordinary pair of literature; their relationship is unprecedented. The thought of it will remind me forever because it just two people who love and trust need to improve the world. And her story is me warn that it unfortunately only a hateful man needs to worsen it.
Leaving New World strikes me unspeakably difficult. Despite the hopeful end it hurts me just as much, Todd, to let go of Viola and all their friends.
The Chaos Walking trilogy is too unknown in my eyes. Read it and spread it wherever you can: Patrick Ness is a great, fabulous, memorable author.
