If it's raining outside and pull mist over the landscape uncomfortable, but you will still go out for a walk in the woods, you should put HEAVY HORSES in any case in the Disc-Man. The songs fit perfectly with the autumnal ambience. Unfortunately, the album marks the final high point in the history of the original band. So folky sounding Tull most on their previous album SONGS FROM THE WOOD, here the songs sound somewhat melancholy and gloomy. Here stands out no song, there really are all awesome title. Worth mentioning are the schmermütige and gloomy title track, which is probably one of the best compositions ever regarded by Tull, the well schmermütige and quite tricky No Lullabies with his funky guitar riff, and the very Celtic sounding tracks Rover and Journeyman. HEAVY HORSES sounds very British, actually already a perfect album full of moods for a cup of Earl Grey at the open fireplace or candlelight.
