But we come to the main thing, the sound. So far my PSB have accompanied me on trips. Comfortable collapsible neutral balanced sound and a practical case have now given me almost 1.5 years completely. But as I listen to very satisfied at home with the Fidelio X1 music on the domestic hi-fi system, I have become aware of the L2 through reviews. And I must say that this has been matched by the really great Philips technicians. About my BlackBerry Z30 I've been through the neutron player app excellent settings for the sound. Basses come so bone dry and crisp that it is a pleasure, all the old hip-hop stuff to rediscover. But also jazz and vocals come with a great brilliance and so finely differentiated tone colors that listening to music on the go requires no sonic concession more. My PSB contrast sounds downright dull and bland at the same presets.
If one really wants to criticize something in this headset, then maybe the non-removable earpads. But seriously: How long has it his headphones generally in use? 4-5 years? Even with frequent use might hold for 5 years, the ear pads under careful treatment. And then most of the desire for something new will be there again anyway.
Hence my conclusion:
+ Excellent sound
+ Great fabrication
+ High wearing comfort
° optics is always a matter of taste
- Earpads not replaceable
Finally, a tip:
I bought the Philips Fidelio L2 on Amazon Italy. There, the model for 199 EUR will be offered. In addition EUR 8 Returns come despite Prime membership, but still represents a whopping savings compared to Amazon Germany in the amount of 50 EUR. Delivery time is about 5 working days.
