My first choice was the Imak Crystal Clear Case, a hard shell variant, the optically fancier much more. In point stability and protection has mastered an involuntary practical test with flying colors. But ultimately failed because they did this through its also very good sliding properties, ever created before.
Round no. 2 went to the hard shell of the house of Mumbi optically also very appealing. In addition, these shapely and relatively thin variant is coated with a light rubber coating, which ensures a good grip. I would probably use even today, if not after 3 weeks a corner of the envelope would be simply dropped. Without any external assistance.
Therefore, I am now landed in this Mumbi silicone case that I had ordered at the same time to the second. She was just first landed in the closet, because the optics when compared to the other is just not quite as appealing. But this does not conversely mean that the shell looks bad.
The silicone sheath surrounds the entire Lumia 930 with the appropriate cutouts for the camera, microphone and jacks. On the front of the end is slightly curved, so that the smartphone does not dirket rests on the edges of the shell and with the display when it is filed with the front. The back is roughened to the edges, as can be seen on the product photos. This ensures a good grip and more difficult because the mobile phone once just adopted from the table or the couch. At the edges and ends the roughened surface merges into a smooth, glossy area which then forms the frame around the edges to the front.
While the smooth, shiny part on the front blends wonderfully with the slides play, but I would have liked to see that the rough area is pulled up almost to the front, so that the side panels can benefit from the corresponding more grip. Is in the hard shell otherwise and should also be a technical problem well, especially since the weld seam of the sleeve is probably just below the front edge. So it feels at least.
What I also not so good like the usability of buttons. These are indeed well protected under the cover, but are not handled so well partly. Visually, they are represented by corresponding forms and the on / off button also makes no problems. But the volume up button and the latest two-stage camera button can then no longer operate really comfortable. Because I like the hardshell variants with the corresponding notches better.
As regards the protection does one with silicone (I hope) can not go wrong. The price is okay too, are also much more expensive (see Imak). For me, the shell therefore of necessity makes a virtue and gets well-deserved 4 stars.
