Yes, 2 cameras simultaneously: the LX3, expert compact, inside basically (because although light: f2-2,8) and the Canon for the scope of its optical zoom (28-560) and its swivel screen.
I got some pretty good pictures but lacking sharpness. In the end, frustrating pictures.
The reflex was necessary but its weight and its price repelled me somewhat. However, by the account of everything I trimballais (apparatus, spare batteries, chargers), the excuse of the weight was not really relevant. The price is itself quite high but I resigned and increasingly took advantage of a promo Amazon (not to mention the deferred repayment offer of 50 euros Pentax).

Pentax offers equipment "Tropic", which is a slight misnomer. In reality, the K30 is resistant to cold (-10 ° C), dust and splash water. That's not bad. This is probably the argument that finally convinced me because I can not count the times I have not gone out of camera because of weather conditions. But beware: the sealing guarantee is only valid with a goal himself tropicalized, so the mention of carrier "WR" ("Weather Resistant").
The 18-135 provided in this kit meets this criterion. It is also a very good goal (although noted on specialized sites), quiet and fast allowing both wide-angle and zoom reasonable.
The viewfinder is very clear, my more pleasant way than direct competitors I've tested in stores (Canon EOS 650D Body Only Digital SLR 18 Megapixel Nikon D5100 Black SLR naked or 16.2 Mpix Black box).
The battery seems to have a very good life (not finished to empty !!). Note that an accessory (Pentax D-BH109 AA Battery Drawer For Pentax Kr) allows the use of batteries / standard AA batteries. Its price is a bit prohibitive, but if you look closely, you will find "po cher" that work just like ;-)
I removed one star because:
- I would have liked a rotating screen. This is convenient but mostly it protects said screen by turning it.
- Video is not at the top (mono sound and barely average performance). True, it's a camera, not a camcorder. What do you want, you become demanding these days!
These little details aside, I am very satisfied with this device. It is a pleasure to use a device as fast. As for the sinews of war, the quality of photos, as expected it was something else altogether. I finally get what I was looking for, and that's only the beginning!
If your credit card allows, jump not, you will not regret it!
