After much back and forth I have the Sigma 150-500 indulged myself for my Canon 60D. Unpacking: (Well packed in a great bag with shoulder strap) and first WOW quite large and heavy. + Bag here + Lens hood and tripod collar case + 3 years warranty card case + Instruction in German here ++ Extra Strap for lens case (attaches to the tripod mount) After Visual inspection: + Processing very clean (print, switch, screws Everything Perfect) + Stativschelle good size for carrying + Lens hood fits perfectly + Lens camera can be off well on the Stativschele + AF meets reliably and quickly + Image Stabilization works flawlessly - Zoom ring bit clumsy - -Gegenlichtblende And lens cover are "child's play (minimal) scratched. Then get out and photograph: Sunshine with a few clouds. Birds with 500mm (Blackbird frame) Rattenscharf! Bees on flowers the same result. In the evening again out to photograph birds and the first AHA EXPERIENCE 18 clock Cloudy sky! 500mm (Blackbird frame) Aperture 6.3 ISO 800 1/400 And the same result Rattenscharf! In the other focal range there is nothing wrong I am more than happy with it. The colors (what some complain from Sigma) are approximately the same as with my Canon 70-200 4L IS USM Not to recognize fringing. The focus extends to the edge (Canon Crop 1.6. To Vollvormat I can not comment) The small scratch on the lens hood (below) and indeed to the lens cap interfere but I can live with it. The extra strap and large tripod mount, the lens does well transporting.
Addendum after 1 month with the 150-500 and ca1000Fotos hillclimb rally and animals in all possible light / weather conditions (sun / clouds / rain / dusk ...) "I am thrilled!" Rattenscharf Super Fast AF only disturbs the weight.
