Rotating vs. Sonic Toothbrush: They both make the same -> expressed quite simply there are "pretty darn quick movements". For the feeling, especially with regard to the volume, are Sonic toothbrushes when they are not uncomfortable vibrate on toothbrush head (I know in ways less recommended manufacturer) to my mind the better choice. They are quieter and "hammering" is not really the tooth around (at OralB feel in model space until 3000, the * slower * pulsations quite like banging on and be perceived as louder.)
Conclusion: If I personally have a choice, I so choose a sound (sonic) with a good battery (no NiMh) with Pressure sensor. - Randomly meets all at this FlexCare Platinum Philips, it is my personal test-winner.
(I want this model but still like to again test / use for as long as I would like to see for myself whether a service life of 3 years can be achieved. Be so good time here again an update to add.)

From here the actual first report ...
This Sonicare is (for me ;-) a fascinating device. The battery-operated electric toothbrush supplies, with little effort, great cleaning results. The battery charges quickly and lasts a long time, there are many settings with regard to the magnitude of vibration.
A quadrant timer which emits a different buzz sound when 30 seconds have passed, is also integrated.
Important I find the feature that the brush withdraws the vibration when you presses too hard. However, this is not solved optimally at my discretion as a well-known competitors.
The press too hard "is also, as my dentist has recently reported the biggest problem with the electric toothbrushes. Many gum problems are too hard pressed" due, says my dentist.
Whether that's with this toothbrush even so, I can be hard to judge, because I got used already to the teeth with an electric long and out of habit only minimal contact pressures - actually only slight movements with almost no power.
(And I achieved with rotating brushes almost the same results as with these Sonic.
To my mind, I am faster with this Sonic with brushing, or in the 2 minutes to effectively.
She swings pure and simple rapid and therefore acts in tone a little higher and gentler - definitely less harsh "and noisy".
However, one must also get used to the vibrations (but goes quickly), eg when the hard part of the brush to teeth comes somewhere ... vibrates pretty ticklish in the dentition. (Compared to a competitor, I have also tested before, but the Phillips is so much better).
The plugging of the brush is easy, it also sits beautifully appointed and is beautiful * in the * waist slimming. I reach with the brush head easily my wisdom teeth - which actually has always been the main problem during cleaning. This sonic toothbrush to reach those hard to reach areas not only look good, but I get the linings even relatively completely gone! I think that's fantastic. (The succeed with a rotating - just so here I am faster.)
For my previous tests (currently one month) I have the impression that the battery will last extremely long. Measurable values I have, however, not ready.
Negatives: We use the toothbrush with 2 people and there is no simple, easily recognizable distinctive element for the brush. (According to the statement brushes have different characters on it, but when my replacement both brushes had a square --- giving little sense of course.) My Solution: I have now cut down to a brush with a nail file a ring ...
UV cleaning device - for me was actually decisive for me to decide for this model. (Pure curiosity and interest in this unfamiliar technology.)
I am not really disappointed about it, but ultimately I think it's a thing that I had not really needed ... (Have so far the brush heads immersed in electric toothbrushes in a Redesept bath --- and also in the way the feeling that everything is eliminated in bacteria.)
The principle of operation, the UV purification unit: You can put 2 brush heads in this device, closes the door and turns it a --- toothbrushes are irradiated with UV light for a certain time. The relatively quick and say do you brush naturally nothing.
Perhaps that this UV Sanitizer is interesting for people who need to protect themselves from infection or want and just prefer to play it safe? (Otherwise, there is the same model by the manufacturer without the UV cleaner:)
Long-term experience: very positive !!! (See above).
Overall impression: Great, high quality dental cleaning implement. All thumbs up!
