I was only very frustrated. The replacement of my 1TB drive in the optical drive bay did not work. The new 2TB disk announced read / write errors. A blog post led me to this new adapter. Now all is well. My 17 "MBP now has a total of 3TB of internal memory !!! Because Apple does not produce more computers with more than 1TB are internally possible, I hope that my MBP still holds very very long (late 2011).
