This is the third edition of this book (which appears at the same time as the English version). The first was very nice (1988), the second had a printing defect (2005) (too pale boards). There, printing, conducted in China, is correct. This third edition could leave you, at the time, the impression that there is no change. The boards are similar and paginated pages so strictly identical to the 1988 edition. However, looking more closely, comparing page to page, there are many changes: on the text. Take as an illustration on page 150: - Insects change Latin name: the tussock moth was prudish Elkneria pudibunda in 1988, and became the Calliteara pudibonda in 2012. - Insects changing French and Latin name for the same board, the disparate Porthetria Bombyx dispar said in 1988, becomes the Lymantria dispar said disparate or zigzag in 2012 (NB the design has not changed). - The instructions have been completed: thus for the oak processionary. Finally, the board p. 150 changes slightly due to an inversion between two drawings (top right). This page 150 appears an extreme case, because many pages do not seem to change (sometimes it is subtle, and page 80, in which the family Miridae Password 6,000 species known to 10000) - the fact remains that it comes to asking questions on the reliability of previous issue ... So there has been correction slight increase (of the text), but similar boards (no new drawing). Note that the index of French names is thickest in the 2012 edition: the body of the book is notable for locusts, which had a Latin name in 1988 and there, all have a name French in 2012.
