Preface:
As early 30s I spent my childhood with Nintendo consoles largely. Therefore, you have so I think a slightly different relationship with the company Nintendo and leaves like a wallow in the past.
Now that I have a child myself, I added this but in my childhood and then the company Nintendo came again to the fore.
I have already had the predecessor console, the 3DSXL and the 2DS and now wants the current console my opinion or experience with the device publish here to recommend another one possibly bad buy or compulsory purchase or to prevent.
Packing:
The unit was purchased not here, but in an electronics market locally.
The packaging is attractive and looks quality.
Colorful applications indicate a young target group.
Nevertheless, I bought the unit ostensibly for me, because my daughter is still too small for it.
Content:
Set in the chic colorful cardboard are numerous instructions. Some people might say or think, I do not need.
Personally, I find a printed manual super to time look something up or to find assistance.
At the present time, unfortunately, a rarity for a high praise.
Furthermore, are AR Cards (3D game with the camera), the device of course and a cover plate in the color black with it.
The other cover plate is already screwed to the floor.
A major shortcoming and an absolute no-go, the missing power supply. As with the previous mobile consoles of Nintendo no charger is also Registered with.
For me absolutely incomprehensible, because to play it is simply taken for granted.
Here you would have had to make improvements in the new model.
The power supply will cost 7.99.
Device itself:
The unit is well made and feels superior to its predecessor or even the Nintendo 2DS.
The buttons have a crisp pressure point and function properly.
Only the D-pad, I feel as a wobbly affair.
The new "C-Stick" is in my opinion, failed. He is rigid and it can be controlled so or use functions in playing poorly.
Here you could have put a "real" analog stick. So it acts implemented only half-heartedly. But better than nothing.
The screens are better than its predecessor, but in times of HD, Retina displays etc. just a joke.
The speed of the device is perfectly okay. Menu, games, eShop starts everything quickly.
A further drawback is the outer surface of the device or the cover.
We see every fingerprint, or any microscopic scratches.
Especially with the younger audience might have been here a very insensitive material or to take a paint finish.
Perhaps you would like to sell more cover plates ?! Who knows.
The battery could last longer, but a normal season, he holds out loosely.
I am not a permanent gamers, but enjoy playing times on the sofa when my wife wants to watch something else on TV or the like.
The sound of the small speakers is crisp and is okay.
3D effect and screen:
Strongly improved is the 3D effect. The device There is no need to keep numb with and perceive the 3D effect now.
Still, I find the 3D effect for me personally not very pleasant and turn it most of the time or only minimally from one.
With regard to children and adolescents who play with the appliance, to me this effect for vision does not appear to be beneficial in the long term.
But everyone must know yourself.
When my daughter is watching me playing, I switch this effect immediately.
The screens could be better, just like the graphics of the title.
When one sees what on iOS or Android devices is possible, the display and the graph is obsolete as strong and rather laughable.
Why now buy a Nintendo when iOS, Android or even the PS Vita offer more power and more favorable games?
The screen is out of date, the graphics are outdated. Games sold in modules, the online games is Nintendo rather still beta status.
But what makes a purchase of the device?
Now it's just Nintendo itself.
No manufacturer creates a fun, recognition of characters, accessibility for children as in this case.
The device is not too complicated, the games cost compared with Xbox or Playstation titles less and offer non-violent games for children.
With very few Xbox games or Playstationen my daughter (3,5 years old) can watch times, there is simply no children / family games. That's the Nintendo 3DS and the WiiU different.
From my unit gets quite a recommendation.
Especially since you can change the memory card and the battery itself.
This is no longer a matter of course today.
Owner of the predecessor should think twice about the purchase.
Owners of 3DS is recommended a change.
Owners of 3DS XL (like me) certainly, due to better processing speed and the 3D effect.
Who does not use the 3D effect anyway, can confidently stick to his 3DSXL or 2DS.
In my opinion, the 2DS for children is the more recommendable device.
He is robust, no 3D effect and costs only nearly half.
I hope I have not forgotten anything, and thank you for reading.
Perhaps I could or one or the other help in the purchase decision.
