Outlandos d'Amour (Audio CD)

Customer Review

In November 1978, the first album by The Police appeared called "Outlandos d`Amour". Recorded it was from Sting (vocals & bass guitar), Andy Summers (Guitars) and Stewart Copeland (drums & percussion). The album was recorded with very little money on their own. Almost all tracks were composed by Sting and texted.

"Outlandos d`Amour" presented at that time something new. This mix of punk, rock and especially a lot of New Wave was unique. By distinctive voice of Sting The Police were out listening to directly from many other groups. And really great is Stewart Copeland on drums. For me, one of the greats in his field.

`Next to Here make a rocking, strong entry into the plate. Then follow directly with `` So lonely` and Roxanne` two huge hits of the group to their best tracks are safe at all. For me, especially `Can`t Stand Losing Here make a huge hit (how often I've heard this song),` Truth hits everybody` and `Born in the 50s` also know how to please. The Reggae / New Wave Pieces `Masako tango` unfortunately ends this strong album already back.

"Outlandos d`Amour" is certainly the most rocking album of the group. In addition, the three-invented his own style, which was further refined in the successor "Regatta de Blanc". For me 5 * for the debut of The Police.
PS The cover I find grauselig, it has the group but apparently not harmed. :-)
