Design / optics:
-------------
Optical me the lamp like. The design is simple, but it looks good and is so neutral that it actually (almost) would fit any style. The product photo I find somewhat misleading. Then it looks as if the two upper rods rotated (groove pattern); in real they are just as smooth and matt like the parts below the switch.
Light quality:
--------------
The most important thing in a lamp is the light that it generates for me. On the one hand it should be bright enough to illuminate the room (section) sufficient other hand it should provide a pleasant, warm light. The uplight, which I had previously been powered by standard incandescent or halogen lamps and have all ensured by the focus on the ceiling for a very nice, cozy light. This model is used as illuminant two non-replaceable LED lamps (20 W when floodlights and 5 W while reading lamp). Both lamps are dimmable and switch-separated. Dimming is infinitely and each works in principle very well. The side lights can turn flexibly and turn in all directions.
From the quality of light I'm pretty disappointed. The small lamp ranges with maximum brightness just for reading; in the lower brightness levels it has no discernible benefit. The luminosity of the powered ceiling lamp I am also not satisfied. Even at the highest level is therefore the corner, where the lamp is not properly illuminated the entire room to mention. As a backlight (eg watching TV) that's fine, but at least at the maximum dimming I expect from a lamp already reasonable room illumination. To make matters worse, that the light produced is relatively cool / white for my taste. Although it is referred to on the package explicitly as 'hot', but that's probably relatively. The common prejudice against LED lamps has thus reconfirmed for me - unfortunately.
Yet something curious about the effect of lamp: When I turn in the living room, the radio in the kitchen right next door loses the transmitter. Turn it off, the transmitter is back. This strange phenomenon occurs at each switch on and off. Very strange.
Price / performance ratio:
--------------------------
With a suggested retail price of currently just under 180 euros, the lamp is not cheap, at least much more expensive than most uplight, which can be found at the hardware store and in (not only Swedish) furniture stores. Here on the item page is a bit of "made in Germany", which is not quite clear whether the entire lamp or only the dimmer is meant. If the lamp was produced in Germany, the relatively high price is understandable and in my opinion, quite justified. However, I am even products (packaging, assembly instructions, safety instructions, labels) found nowhere an indication that the product was actually made in Germany. That surprises me a bit "made in Germany" but is actually a trademark is often advertised with. Since it is found in this lamp anywhere, I'm assuming that they actually elsewhere (on the packaging and corporate offices in Turkey and in Poland printed) was prepared and in this case, the price for what you get, in my view, far too high.
Conclusion:
A visually beautiful lamp, however, produces not a particularly good light. For this price I would have expected something better. Buyers who appreciate a comfortable, yet sufficiently bright light value, I would not recommend. If you're looking for just a decent backlight and the color is not so important, it's fine. However, should be found numerous considerably cheaper alternatives in this case.
